With their plea to the Bay Area representatives nearly just 2 months earlier, one cannot help but think of the catalyst of their desire. Is it a long-time entry on their checklist or simply a result of the January housing development project?

With the couple’s following and influence, their housing project is poised to flourish. However, it could take some time to come to fruition. Steph is in a middle of a taxing season for Golden State Warriors. Moreover, the couple are in line with multiple ventures, as shared in the interview. With that, even if the couple decides to spark things into motion quickly (and overlook), any major unfolding can come in the NBA offseason, giving Steph ample time to orchestrate their plans.

With that, one of the affected regions from the plan was Atherton – home to Stephen Curry and Ayesha. The region was probed to blueprint for 300+ new homes. Until now, the update elicited nothing but cheers from the NBA couple. Their concerns rose when there was a proposal for development around their family home, potentially adding 16 “three-story” townhomes behind their place.

With that, Steph and Ayesha wrote a letter to resonate their concerns, urging the authorities to restructure their model around their house. The couple cited privacy and safety reasons for their children as their primary concern, claiming it to be the deal-breaker when initially purchased the $30 million property in 2020.

Moreover, looking at both sides of the coin, the couple, in case the Town could not execute their desired changed, the couple also chipped in a workaround. In the letter, they quipped, “we ask that the Town commits to investing in considerably taller fencing and landscaping to block sight lines onto our family’s property.”
