The Dallas Mavericks pulled off a miraculous victory against the Denver Nuggets last night. Luka Doncic and Co. beat the defending Champions 107-105 on an insane Kyrie Irving game-winner. The Mavs look to continue their impressive form as they prepare to face the San Antonio Spurs on the road tomorrow. Unfortunately, the Mavs might have to play tomorrow’s game shorthanded as Luka Doncic finds his way back in the injury report.
According to reports, Luka Doncic’s status for Tuesday’s game is Probable. The 5-time All-Star is still dealing with a hamstring injury he suffered during last Wednesday’s game against the Golden State Warriors. Luka missed Thursday’s game against the OKC Thunder due to hamstring soreness and returned to the lineup in yesterday’s game.

If Luka misses tomorrow’s Spurs clash, it will be a massive blow for the Mavs. He has been their best player all year, and they cannot afford to lose him in the final stretch of the regular season. Even though Kyrie Irving’s unbelievable left-handed floater proved to be the game-winning shot last night, Luka was equally important in yesterday’s Mavs win. The Slovenian sensation led the game in scoring with 37 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 assists. Luka also hit a clutch three-pointer before Kyrie’s game-winning shot to tie the score 105-105 with only 25 seconds remaining on the clock.

Although Luka is still playing great, the hamstring injury has impacted his productivity. Doncic had 7 consecutive triple-doubles before he injured his hamstring. But his impressive streak came to an end last Wednesday due to the injury. Hopefully, Luka can fully recover from the hamstring issue and return to being a triple-double machine.
Luka Doncic career stats
It did not take Luka Doncic long to become a franchise player for the Dallas Mavericks. He took the reins of the Dallas Mavericks six years ago, just when Dirk Nowitzki was about to retire from the NBA. Luka instantly showed superstar potential and won Rookie of the Year. Six years later, Luka is a 5-time All-Star and arguably the best scorer in the NBA. He has averaged 28.6 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 8.2 assists in his career. And Luka’s numbers are only getting better each season.

He is playing his best basketball this season, averaging a career-high 34.4 points, 9.7 assists, and 9 rebounds. Luka is leading the league in scoring and has helped the Mavs become the 7th seed in the Western Conference. The Mavs hope Luka can play against the Spurs tomorrow and help them improve to a 40-29 record.
