For many Golden State Warriors fans, the Chase Center still feels new. Despite winning their 7th franchise title in the venue, Oracle Arena has had a special place in the hearts of the Bay Area fans. However, for the players, particularly Draymond Green, the new home signifies hope and a transition to the new era of the dynasty. This year marks the fourth year that the Warriors have been in Chase Center.

Commemorating the special occasion, the former Defensive Player of the Year reposted his wife Hazel’s story on his Instagram account. “WOW 4 years ago today, @money23green and I visited(what is now) the Chase Center… baby went on to win his 4th ring in 2022,” wrote Hazel to which Green wrote, “What a lovely time.”

The Warriors first graced the courts of the Chase Centre back in October 2019 with a 141–122 loss against the Los Angeles Clippers. While the instance might not have offered the right beginning, it nonetheless holds cherishable moments for Draymond Green and Co.

One reason the Chase Center can be special for Green, Stephen Curry, and Klay Thompson is they won a championship right after they moved here in 2022. The reason for that being special is after their fall in the previous seasons, every talking head and Pundit around the NBA had counted the Warriors out. So, this championship was a redemption tour for the Dubs. Which went on to silence critics for good that season, cementing Steph’s legacy and legitimizing their dynasty. The main question for the fans is if they can replicate that success again.

Does Draymond Green still have one last shot at the Larry O’Brien Trophy?

This season was rife with turmoil for both the Warriors and Green. To kick things off, the Dubs lost Draymond twice to suspension. This made their defensive core unstable and the offense cagey blowing huge leads to finally face a loss. On top of that, their new floor general, Chris Paul didn’t get enough time to mesh with the team due to injury. Both Klay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins were not their usual self, costing the Warriors heavily in key games.

However, out of so many negatives, Jonathan Kuminga emerged as with a key role and will become an All-Star-level talent next season. Currently, the Warriors hold the 1oth seed in the west and are due to face their division rivals the Los Angeles Lakers in the play-in tournament. Their only hope to make it to the playoffs is if all the cards fall in the right place, yet it seems a far cry from a championship. Now, dub nation can only hope that Draymond Green and Co. have one last trick up their sleeve.
