Deion Sanders has now entered the NBA conversations. After being in LeBron James‘ mind all the time, he has now dished authentic NBA takes. However, it was not LBJ’s example that Coach Prime brought to the limelight. He invoked Michael Jordan and his precious tales of being a competitor. The NFL legend pushed Joel Embiid to follow Jordan’s example. He asked him to toughen up, and instead of dodging tricky situations, face them like a champ. He gave praise to Nikola Jokic and used him as an example of someone who stands firm in the midst of such situations.

The reigning MVP’s mild-mannered winning ways and serious work attitude have touched Sanders’ heart. And the reigning MVP now showcases catching skills that are going to further resonate with Coach Prime.

Nikola Jokic showcases top-notch football skills

It is well-known that Jokic is a sports enthusiast. He loves some sports more than even basketball. Certainly, horse riding is at the top of the list, but since he has been in the USA for around a decade, he has witnessed quite a bit of football action. In that wake, during an on-court practice session, he showed his football skills.

In a video posted by the official Twitter handle of the Denver Nuggets, he showcases his catching skills. The video has the caption, “Larry O’Brien  🔜 Lombardi 🏆”. In the opening shot, DeAndre Jordan is throwing a forward pass. The Joker asks him to wait a bit. After merely a second’s lapse, the Center then turns on the jets and hustles toward the ball. He catches after a fumble, but a strong run and then a high jump is what made the play impressive. Therefore, he displayed quarterback-like talent while engaging in the play. 

Having already captured the NBA’s Larry O’Brien trophy, the Nuggets handle teased the NFL’s highest glory, the Vincent Lombardi trophy. It means that they are saying that their beloved Center can shine in the NFL too. Whether he could have done that can never be known, but the incredible player did get props from someone who has had his hands wrapped around two Vincent Lombardi trophies.

Deion Sanders calls out Joel Embiid

After the 76ers workout, talking to the team, Deion Sanders accused 76ers’ Ace Joel Embiid of running away from the Nuggets’ phenom. Taking shots at Harden who didn’t show up for practice and claiming that “MJ wanted that smoke”, he stated, “A lot of folks duck that smoke. They wanna be Tarzan on paper. Don’t sell me the game that this is what I’m gonna get, but when I turn on the TV, I don’t get that. I don’t like that. If Embiid is playing the Joker, I want to see Embiid versus the Joker. Alright, I want to see that, and he goes and gets it. I love that matchup, but I wanna see it”.

It is clear that Sanders keenly follows NBA developments. While The Joker has proved his mettle, can the new USA national basketball superstar do that?
