Draymond Green and Kevin Durant were crucial components to the Golden State Warriors’ incredible back-to-back NBA victories in 2017 and 2018. However, their relationship was often a ‘rollercoaster ride.’ Despite their on-court success, their friendship was seemingly marred by underlying tensions and disputes.

The tension between Durant and Green reached a boiling point during a November 2018 game against the Los Angeles Clippers. Green failed to take a shot at the end of regulation. Owing to this, the game was forced into overtime. This on-court mistake resulted in a sideline brawl between Durant and Green. Green unleashed a verbal assault on Durant after a heated exchange, expressing the discontent that had been festering. This became a turning point in their friendship. KD unexpectedly left the “Super team” to join the Brooklyn Nets?the following season.

And while we haven’t seen any public outings of the duo since then, they recently shocked fans by making an unexpected appearance together.

Durant and Green appeared to have buried the hatchet in any prior bad blood, wearing matching bucket hats. The once-aggressive teammates were genuinely interested in the game, their gaze locked on the floor as they examined plays and shared moments of analysis.
