Remember, “Wasn’t your fault“, by Snoop Dogg from 2002? This famous rap number is widely known for Snoop Dogg’s catchy freestyle. But at the same time, this song wouldn’t be the same without lyric writer Jimmy Jam, who wrote some mind-blowing verses. On the other hand, there are a few things you might have looked forward to ahead of game 5 between the Dallas Mavericks and the Minnesota Timberwolves. But like they say, “Always expect the unexpected.’
The competitive Western Conference Finals has garnered the attention of popular figures across various industries. In game 4, we saw NFL star Micah Parsons, Dirk Nowitzki, Shaquille O’Neal, etc. on the sideline. But this time it was none other than D-O-Double G, Snoop Dogg, who reunited with a 64-year-old music producer.
Well, 22 years later now, the power duo are back together once again, to catch the live performance of Luka Doncic vs Anthony Edwards, as they were seen at the Target Center in Minnesota. Among others present at the Target Center tonight were Jennifer Hudson, NBA insider Shams Charania, and Alex Rodriguez.

The T-Wolves mascot, Crunch, even gave Snoop Dogg and Jimmy Jam a jersey, each with their name and number ’24’ on it. The 16x Grammy nominee was all smiles at the game, supporting their favorites.

But eventually, they saw the Mavericks beat the Timberwolves down, stomping hard on all their hopes to reach the NBA Finals this year. The tone Doncic set in the first quarter itself was fiery. He was shooting a 3-pointer after 3-pointer, yet the first quarter had Mavericks get a lot of calls due to which even Snoop Dogg saw Doncic getting a handkerchief, as a funny symbol by a fan from the courtside to wipe his tears off from all the calls.
Responding to this taunt, Doncic exploded the arena with more points. And then in the third quarter, the TNT cameras caught a glimpse of Doncic trash-talking right in front of Snoop Dogg and others.
The Mavericks were on a mission today. The series was predicted to be a clean sweep, but the Wolves sustained in game 4. The Slovenian guard made sure he gave them no chance today. Anyhow, the best part of the game today was his cold trash talk to Snoop Dogg.
What did Luka Doncic say to Snoop Dogg after a tough bucket?
Doncic finished the game with 36 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists. This dominant performance had a lot of and-1 buckets. After Doncic hit an and-1 over Jaden McDaniels, he smiled at Snoop Dogg, who was on the sideline, and said, “Yeah, who’s crying motherf*****”. What do you think the 52-year-old rap icon did? Well, what can one do but appreciate Doncic’s greatness? Seeing all this, he kind of lost it a little and started to laugh.
Well, as it turns out, new camera angles reveal that Doncic was not directly saying these words to Snoop Dogg. Rather, he was saying this to a fan sitting just a few rows behind the Grammy award winner. It made it seem like he was talking to the American rapper, as also reported by TNT’s Stan Van Gundy earlier, but it wasn’t quite the case.
Yet, Snoop Dogg laughing at this absolutely made the moment even funnier, since he was absolutely in love with the Mavericks guard’s one-man show. Looking at this, you cannot help but get reminded about Lil Wayne’s take on Doncic in road games.

Rapper Lil Wayne shared in his appearance on Undisputed, “I’ve seen him up close and personal, and he is amazing, and on the road, he thrives. Anytime I’ve seen him, I have seen him on the road… I’ve seen that man hit a three on my team and come back down and hit another three, and look at me, look dead at me.” This is the exact treatment that Snoop Dogg received today. With that said, the Dallas Mavericks are heading to the NBA Finals after 13 years, under the leadership of Doncic!
