LeBron James will go down as one of the greatest basketball players ever. Over his illustrious career, LeBron has amassed a CV that only a few can rival. Many players have tried to get the better of King James and failed. However, a former teammate of LeBron believes he has a shot at outperforming LeBron in a dunk contest.

Despite his advancing age, LeBron still possesses a level of athleticism only a few young high-flyers can match. However, it wouldn’t be easy for LeBron, as his former teammate has already won a dunk contest in the past.

Recently, LeBron praised last year’s dunk contest champion Mac McClung and called him “one of the greatest dunkers ever”. McClung recently made an appearance on Run It Back, which is hosted by Shams Charania. When quizzed about the better dunker between him and LeBron, McClung said, “I think young LeBron maybe has it. But right now, I think I can probably get him.”

Mac McClung was an unknown entity until his enthralling dunk contest performance last season. He wowed fans with his deep bag of incredible dunks. Years of sub-par dunk contest showings have led to a decrease in viewership numbers of the contest. However, many credited McClung’s performance for saving the Dunk Contest.
