All is not well for the Los Angeles Lakers. Their woes continue as they lost their fourth game this season. With 3-4, they are now third in the Pacific Division but things could be a lot better. With the fourth game in the season, they were able to pull themselves up to post two continuous wins only for two losses now in the past two games.

They went into Monday’s match desperate for a win but could not do much. LeBron James and Austin Reaves tried desperately to pull a win. But they had to settle for a 107-108 against the Miami Heat.

Sports columnist and commentator Skip Bayless shared his commentary of the match, which only dug the knife deeper. Towards the end, as LeBron was looking to score the winning points, Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo cornered him. This forced him to pass the ball to forward Cam Reddish in the far corner. However, Reddish missed the 21-foot jumper. Butler took the defensive rebound just as the final buzzer was called. While sympathizing with LeBron, Bayless also pointed out that had Michael Jordan been there, this would not have happened.

Only it’s not possible as Jordan’s not played in 20 years. It is also not possible to be so sure about this, since mistakes do happen and it is not always possible to predict the moves.

The match breakdown

Right from the start, Miami dominated the match. Over the first three quarters, the lead switched between the two teams but it looked like the Heat had an obvious advantage. From the sixth minute of the third quarter, Miami widened the gap between the two. Although the Lakers tried to catch up to them, they fell short by one point and had to settle for the loss.
