Women’s basketball and women athletes have been on the rise all through 2023. From Angel Reese, Caitlin Clark to Sabrina Ionescu, they have all bagged enormous deals which rival NBA stars. One of the biggest names in women’s basketball for the past few years has been Stanford starlet, Cameron Brink. Apart from being a close associate of NBA superstar Stephen Curry and his family, Brink is famous for her basketball exploits and explosive blocks.

Recently, the 6-foot-4 inches tall NCAA champion inked a major deal that seals her future with a Boston-based company. Interestingly, this might disappoint Curry and his camp.

Brink has enthralled audiences around the world with her electrifying plays ever since she burst onto the scene in 2020 with the Stanford Cardinal.

She played an instrumental role in bringing home the 2021 NCAA title to Stanford. This was Stanford’s first women’s NCAA title after a 29-year drought.

Two years after this major career high, Brink has confirmed a deal with Massachusetts-based company, New Balance. “All-American. Gold medalist. And now, she’s a @newbalance athlete”, wrote New Balance’s official account on Instagram.

She is the first female athlete to be signed to New Balance. “I am honored and excited to join forces with New Balance. Their ability to empower athletes perfectly aligns with my own values, and I look forward to this journey with them”, said Brink according to HypeBeast.

Considering Stephen Curry has a lifetime deal with Under Armour, Brink certainly might have had the thought of signing with the $3.31 Billion enterprise. However, like her career, she decided to carve out her own path in this extremely competitive world of huge business deals.

Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry and Cameron Brink are not related by blood. However, their families are really close and Brink regards the four-time NBA champion as her ‘god-brother’. The Brink and Curry family grew close as Sonya Curry and Cameron Brink’s mother were roommates at Virginia Tech.

Interestingly, Brink might have played a huge role in changing NBA history forever. During his time at Davidson College, Curry found it difficult to find his own in the initial days. That’s when Brink told Steph to ‘believe in yourself’. From that point onwards, there was no stopping the Baby Faced Assassin.
