In the midst of it, just 6 days back, he used a ‘Karate Kid’ reference to address his 25-year-old teammate. His banter continued as he recently mocked that “terrible” team member.
The 38-year-old made fun of his Los Angeles Lakers partner publicly, revealing the playful nature yet again in the pre-season. Soon after that, though, he showcased appreciation for him, with a 3-word response.

In front of the team, the 19-time All-Star called the power forward, “Terrible,”?to tease the rising star. As soon as Rui went to the other side, James turned back to the camera to share his actual thoughts. In a quieter voice, he appreciated his colleague, stating,?“I love him,”?expressing his affection in 3 words.
This interaction, interestingly, happened on the back of the duo sharing the ‘Karate Kid’ reference less than a week back. That time around, the 4-time MVP claimed himself “Mr. Miyagi,” as the news of him and Rui training together broke out. So, the closeness between the forwards of the squad was nothing new to the fans as they hoped for it to result in one thing.

Hachimura joined the LA side early this year while the franchise was attempting to restructure the roster. The former Washington Wizards’ draft pick has been sensational since then, especially in the initial playoff run. In the series against the Memphis Grizzlies, he showcased his qualities off the bench as the Lakes progressed to the next round.
The organization later appreciated his endeavors as they handed him a 3-year $51 million contract. The team’s general manager,?Rob Pelinka, has recently been also vocal about the positive influence of the international star. In fact, James’ initial banter sparked from an appreciative remark of Pelinka.
