Aaron Gordon was the X factor tonight as the Nuggets cleaned up the series’ mess with a 2-2 tie. He impressed everyone and had an almost perfect night. He finished with 27 points while going for 11-of-12 from the field, 2-2 from the three-point line, and 3-3 from the charity stripe! The Wolves‘ defensive big man, Rudy Gobert, went as far as to hail him as Kobe Bryant. But Anthony Edwards wasn’t too happy with AG. Well, he chose not to hide it either.

Well, we can’t be sure if the ANT meant it for the public ears, but as he was walking off the presser, the 22-year-old had heard enough of Aaron Gordon. “Man, I’m sick of Aaron Gordon!” he stated, shaking his head on the way out. Given his confident personality, it is safe to assume that Edwards’ words weren’t accidental. But hilarious? Absolutely!

The ‘Mile High City’ went farther than a mile in this outing too. The ‘Joker’ and his squad didn’t show any signs of slowing down in their second chance at redemption as they defeated the Wolves 115-107 at Target Center. Ant stayed true to his words and set the tone for what he hoped would be a favorable outcome early on.

The end of first-half saw Edwards with 23 of his game-high 44 points. Jokic wasn’t too far behind either. He scored 19 of his 35 points by halftime. But the Serbian big man scored the most in the fourth quarter (16) after going scoreless in the third. Except for Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Kyle Anderson, every single Nuggets player scored in double digits.

Talking about their second road win, AG said, “It’s just like a laser-sharp focus and a surgical execution.” That’s Dr. Gordon for you, now! As for the heavily frustrated Jamal Murray, he had a simple realization. “Game 2 definitely woke us up. We realized we can’t hold ourselves back.”

The Canadian guard has been the recipient of much flak for his uncharacteristic and emotionally charged behavior in the first two home losses. Game 2 was especially tough for the 27-year-old. But he seems to have bounced back. Hopefully.

Aaron Gordon has stepped up in a big way for Denver this season. He did the same during the abysmal second outing, as well. However, the California native messed up big time in that third quarter and came too close to comfort in the first. Just five minutes into the third quarter saw the star forward get into a heated argument with the ref. Unsurprisingly, he was issued a tech, and Mike Conley got the free throw.

The embarrassing bit happened when the security stopped Gordon from entering back in the court. Having had to sit out the entire third quarter, it was a little too late for him to turn the game around. Minnesota had expanded their lead to 32 points by the time AG returned.

In the first quarter too, Gordon took point on another altercation with the official after coach Malone was done. The Nuggets coach nearly got physical with the ref and was held back by the team. Lucky for them, the ref dismissed it as the actions of a frustrated coach and let both coach and player go. There is no doubt that he brought in all the pending energy from these situations to Game 4.

They will be visiting Minneapolis for Game 5 now. The tip-off is scheduled for 10:30 PM ET at Target Center. Hopefully, it won’t be a repeat of their previous outings there. Not that the Wolves won’t be happy. But they are aware that Anthony Edwards and his crew aren’t letting the Nuggets slip through their hands.
