Giannis Antetokounmpo, despite the struggles of the Bucks, always has time for fun. And this time, Jaylen Brown ended up being his target, and that too, right after bumping him on the head! Yup, the ‘Greek Freak,’ on his drive to the basket, was called for an offensive foul after elbowing JB. It resulted in a change in possession. Now, here’s the important part:
As the pair walked to the other end of the court, Giannis extended his hand for a dap. Thinking nothing of it, Brown did the same, only to see Antetokounmpo pull his hand at the very last second and run it through his hair with a goofy grin, making it clear that he was pulling one over the NBA champ!
He offered his hand once again, but Jaylen, perhaps not interested in falling for it a second time, did not oblige as the 29-year-old still had a sheepish grin on his face. Needless to say, it was another NBA ‘slow-mo’ moment and the fans could not keep it to themselves.

“The s–t-eating dad smile makes it so much better,” effortlessly capturing his charismatic and light-hearted personality. The comment also highlights how Giannis’ reaction resembles the kind of harmless prank a Dad might play on his kids, essentially creating a fun, relatable moment that we enjoyed just as much as the game itself.
And in hindsight, the light moment was perhaps the highlight for Milwaukee! Also, the whopping 43 points from Giannis Antetokounmpo. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to pull the Bucks over the edge as they fell to 1-3 at home and 2-8 overall, as their hunt for a third win in 10 games fell apart, leaving them at No. 14, just ahead of the 76ers and with a two-game losing streak.
Since we are all reeling from the tough loss, why don’t we go back to some of the more wholesome and amusing comments of the Giannis-JB moment?

Yet another fan seems convinced that this isn’t the first time Giannis Antetokounmpo has pulled this trick. “100% him and his kid have been doing that to each other and that’s why he pulled it on JB.” It clearly reflects that fans saw this interaction as nothing more than Giannis being his usual goofy self. Considering the elbow to Jay’s head, it could have easily been misinterpreted as an insult to injury. But perhaps knowing his playful personality and that cheeky smile surely helped keep the moment light-hearted.
“I love how childish this is and Giannis knows it. Absolutely hilarious,” commented this next fan, echoing the majority sentiment that the 8x All-Star is fully aware of his sense of humor.
And finally, this individual wrote, “This is the most Giannis thing ever,” followed by a crying-a-river emoji. Just another example of how Bucks fans see this is as a classic example of Antetokounmpo’s personality they have come to enjoy and expect.
