On the 20th, Los Angeles Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal released another episode of his ‘The Big Podcast’. This time, the former player had invited American comedian Bert Kreischer as his guest host. During the conversation, Shaq’s co-host Adam Lefkoe drew Kreischer’s attention to the ongoing Jalen Green-Draya Michele story that has been making waves around the NBA world for quite some time now. The couple, who share a 17-year age gap, drew strong reactions from various people after Michele recently announced that she was pregnant. When asked about the comedian’s thoughts on the same, Kriescher didn’t hesitate in making his “feelings” clear.
“You don’t steal someone’s youth, you let them stay young,” said Kreischer. “If you’re 20, go out with 20-year-olds, go to spring break, be broke”. Soon after that, Shaq himself came forward to provide his two cents on the topic, congratulating the couple and defending Green and Michele in light of a similar experience he went through in his youth.
“I don’t like being a hypocrite, I used to go for the older women too,” said Shaq. “He knew what he was doing, she knew what she was doing”. Choosing to pay less attention to their age gap, the former NBA star once again congratulated the couple and wished that the baby “comes out healthy”.

Bert Kreischer is not the only individual who holds such an opinion about the nature of Green-Michele’s relationship. Ever since Michele’s pregnancy announcement, social media has been running havoc. Even Lefkoe described Green dating an older woman as a trend, drawing comparisons between them and the Larsa Pippen-Marcus Jordan relationship. Many people like Shaquille O’Neal, however, have otherwise chosen to take a positive stance on this issue and send their flowers to the couple.
Kyle Kuzma celebrated Draya Michele-Jalen Green’s news
Shaquille O’Neal wasn’t the only member of the NBA fraternity who sent his good wishes to the expecting couple. Amongst the very first people to react to this news was Green’s on-court rival and prominent Washington Wizards player Kyle Kuzma.

When the pregnancy announcement first started to make waves, Kuzma took to his official Instagram account and commented on a post highlighting the news. “It’s up familyyyya @jalen @drayamichele,” he wrote. The 28-year-old’s reaction allegedly came at a time when not many people were convinced that Green was the father. However, if there was any doubt before, then Kuzma’s comment helped to clear that up.
Along the support and despite the criticisms, Jalen and Draya have continued to remain staunch on their journey. “My family, my baby,” were Green’s words when asked about his motivation for his excellence of late; highlighting their steadfast commitment.
