Since pre-game fits and mode of arrival are all the rage in speculating how the game would go, the LA Clippers fans might have to be a little worried. The series is tied at 2-2 and whoever comes out of tonight’s face-off will definitely have an advantage. But let us get back to our very interesting and comical topic at hand! Russell Westbrook and his pre-game outfit are going viral right about now. Seeing the ‘Beastbrook’ dressed in a baby pink sleeveless vest and a beanie to match, Charles Barkley was caught in a fit of giggles.

He had quite the description for the fit, too. “That’s how you go to bed.” Talk about emotional damage! The entire Inside crew couldn’t help but join in the laughter. But it didn’t last very long. Shaquille O’Neal, the jokester that he is, brought up Chuck’s past. An image of his pre-game outfit itself. An image he would have rather left in the past. But it was certainly epic.

A young Barkley, dressed in a hot pink, silky, sleeveless vest and shorts to go with it. If the TNT crew had simply joined the hysteria when the ‘Chuckster’ mocked Russ’s outfit, this made them blow harder with laughter. The 11x All-Star, for his part, admitted it was a bad decision. “This was a bad decision on my part. I admit.” He can admit all he wants, but there is no way ‘Sir Charles’ is living that outfit down!

Westbrook has never failed to catch the attention of cameras. His competitive style is not restricted to just on-court endeavors. Russ’s patterned shirts, adult overalls, extremely distressed t-shirts, or the accessories he sports can give the most hardcore menswear blogger out there a run for his money.

But Russell Westbrook has had moments like tonight.

Brodie’s unique taste in fashion

For example, in 2018, when he was playing for the OKC Thunder, the 9x All-Star arrived for a 76ers game in a similar fashion as above. It almost looks like he just wore his comfy, favorite, night robe, accessorizing it with a few solid gold chains and a yellow bandana. But what we have to take into consideration is that the “night robe” is a $1,295 statement piece from the luxury, streetwear brand, Fear of God.

Had the ‘Chuckster’ seen him then, there’s no doubt he would have enjoyed it enormously. But there is no doubt that the man knows how to put together an ensemble that would make even the most fashionable divas out there jealous. Or, in a more positive scenario, stop to admire.

Known for his fashion over the years, since his Seattle SuperSonics days, the NBA pro once shed light upon his choices while speaking to Vogue. From ‘double-breasted suits’ to bold torn-up attires, a proud Westbrook said, “Yes, there will be good reviews, bad reviews, but doesn’t really matter. As long as I feel good about it, I hope it inspires people to wear and be outgoing and outspoken.”
