To say that LeBron James‘ weekend was magical would be an understatement. In addition to winning the inaugural In-Season Tournament, he was crowned as the MVP of the Tournament. As if that wasn’t enough, he was over the moon on Sunday, when his oldest son, Bronny, made his USC Trojans basketball game debut.

Bron has truly won everything there is to win in the NBA, further solidifying his legendary status in the annals of sports history. Well, in a spectacular celebration of Bron’s most recent victory, Shannon Sharpe hilariously decides to honor King James in quite a unique way, once again putting into motion the LeBron-MJ ‘G.O.A.T’ debate.

In a recent episode of the First Take show, Shannon shows up with a literal goat mask that has a cigar in its mouth. Along with the mask, he wields a scepter that throws host Molly Qerim into a fit of laughter. C0-host Stephen A. Smith is initially stunned by the sight, face-palming with both hands! But he eventually breaks a smile. Shannon seems pretty hyped as he shouts, “You know who it is! It’s GOAT James! It’s GOAT James!

Stephen A., who is visibly amused, yells out to Shannon, “Take that off, man! Stop it! Stop it right there! You’re unbelievable man.” In jest, he adds that he hopes no one ever pulls a similar stunt again. GOAT James in the building indeed. After this comical gesture, it’s pretty clear on which side of the LeBron-MJ debate Shannon stands.

As long as the NBA exists, the ‘GOAT’ debate will never see the day of light. However, the truth of the matter is this: LeBron has now achieved a title that MJ will never have. Of course, MJ never had the opportunity to go for it to begin with, but that can’t be helped. In this matter, Bron will always be a one-up MJ.
