Shai Gilgeous-Alexander just dropped a career-high 45 points against the LA Clippers. That might be his highlight for the month, but for the Golden State Warriors fans, the highlight is something else. Stephen Curry took a shot at the Oklahoma Thunder City‘s tallest player in the starting lineup today. The Splash Bro and his Warriors side wrapped up their road trip with a 127-116 win over the OKC on Sunday. His incredible shooting performance was the highlight of the game, as he led the charge and overwhelmed the Thunder.
As the game neared its end, the Warriors struggled, so Curry came back to finish the job. In the final four minutes, he knocked down two huge 3-pointers and hit a couple of free throws to secure the 127-116 victory. With just over a minute left, Steph sunk a clutch 3-pointer that pushed the lead to 10. He did his signature “Night Night” celebration, letting the OKC crowd know the game was over.
After the game, the 2x MVP then shared several photos from the trip on Instagram, before heading back to the Bay Area. What stood out, though, was the song Stephen Curry selected to accompany the post.

He chose “Ain’t No Love in Oklahoma” by Luke Combs, clearly a playful jab after the Warriors’ victory. This didn’t go unnoticed, as it seemed like a subtle troll aimed at Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Instagram is buzzing with fans raiding the comments section.
Stephen ‘Petty King’ Curry always remembers
One fan commented, “Nah you own shai goat that song choice *crying emoji* *fire emoji*“. Last season, the Thunder triumphed over the Warriors when they played in the Golden State. After the win, Gilgeous-Alexander took to social media and posted photos of himself facing the legendary Splash Bro. In his caption, he had written, “I was feeling like e-40 in the Bay, so I had to go dumbbbbb.”
It’s clear that Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was having some fun with his post, bragging about his performance. Now, it looks like the Chef has conveniently returned the favor with his own playful Instagram moment.
Another netizen was impressed with Stephen Curry’s patience, as they wrote, “Thats really next level trolling bro waited a year *crying emoji* he him.” Well, we all know waiting a year just to troll your opponent is something that Steph would 100% do.
What’s your perspective on:
Did Curry's song choice outshine Shai's 45-point game, or was it just playful banter?

He even called himself the ‘Petty King‘ in 2022. “I’m the petty king. So I know all about everything and I use it as entertainment and have fun with it,” he said while talking to the media during the Finals.

It was in this game the OKC lost Chet Holmgren to an unfortunate injury. One user commented, “SGA gonna cry *laughing emoji*”. After being touted as the best team in the Western Conference, and then losing one of your best players, who probably will be out for 8-10 weeks to then being cooked by Chef Curry who classically came in clutch, it all happened in a matter of minutes. SGA’s Thunder would surely have a tough time while taking a look at this dig after all that has happened.

Another user cleverly chimed in, posting, “STEPH WAS FEELIN LIKE e40 INNA BAY“. This user seems like an ardent fan of the great Stephen Curry. He remembers when SGA dropped 40 on the Warriors and when the Bay Area side lost both their home matchups to the Thunder. The fan was so excited he even typed it in all caps!
