LeBron James’ career has come full circle. The kid from Akron entered the league amidst a frenzy and maintained it throughout his career. Now that he has reached the last stage of his professional career, he is leaving behind something for the fans to continue celebrating. It’s the pocket-size dynamite, Bronny James. Amid the LA side’s dominating performance against the Washington Wizards, the home crowd had a special request for the visitors, the Lakers.

At the end of the third quarter, the Lakers almost sealed the victory with a 35-point lead. This allowed Coach JJ Redick to test his reserves with one entire quarter of garbage time. Realizing this, the Washington crowd gave up on their team and decided to witness some action. They wanted to see James Jr. check-in.

In the final moments of the third quarter, the fans erupted ‘We want Bronny’ chants, leaving LeBron James beaming with pride. Guess what? Redick responded to their request and deployed the young gun at the start of the fourth quarter.

Moreover, Bronny James didn’t let the opportunity slide away. He had the power to capture 17, 491 hearts that wanted him to succeed. And he exactly did that. In his 12-minute stay on the court, James Jr. managed to put 5 points. Especially, the rising star’s particular 3-point play exploded the crowd.

With 3 minutes left in the game, he ran up the lane and dropped a tough layup fighting against the Wizards’ big, Tristan Vukcevic. A whistle and a bucket. It turned into a recipe for a standing ovation. James Sr., watching it all from the courtside, celebrated it with pride.

Two minutes later, the crowd went a bit overboard. Bronny managed to draw a foul again, this time, without the bucket. Guess what? When the 20-year-old stood at the FT line, the crowd broke into MVP chants. At that point, I was doubtful whether the crowd was trolling. Looks like they weren’t.

LeBron James’ family rules January

As we come to the end of January, a month which almost looked never-ending. In the last 30 days, the James family had a lot to offer to the NBA world. Firstly, LeBron James surpassed Michael Jordan and became the only player in the league’s history to record 563 30-point games. Following that, he became the second 40-year-old to drop a triple-double after Karl Malone. And, finally, he collected his 21st All-Star selection, the most by an NBA player.

While it seems a lot, Bronny James overshadowed it with his late surge. The rising star posted his career-high 31 points in his G-League stint, making a strong statement for his critics. More than his performance, the star’s post-game interview went viral as he made it poetically pleasing.

On the other hand, during his appearances on the NBA court, Bronny has made everyone’s time worthwhile. It wasn’t just tonight when the crowd longed for the young gun to check-in. During the Rivals Week challenge, the Lakers decimated the Celtics. With a few minutes of garbage time left, the LA crowd began to erupt with ‘We want Bronny’ chants and Redick had to respond to them. What do you make of James’ family’s domination?
