Chet Holmgren has been giving exceptional performances this season. Owing to that, he is the frontrunner for the NBA Rookie of the Year award and is in the spotlight. With his addition to the Oklahoma City Thunder, the team has been doing wonders ever since. However, even after being surrounded by all this hype and attention, Holmgren feels like he has not done anything yet.

In an interview, Chet Holmgren showed his humble side by giving a very polite answer regarding all the attention the 21-year-old is receiving.

OKC rookie believes he has a lot to prove

The youthful and energetic athlete has not only made an impact personally but has also been instrumental in leading the OKC Thunder to an amazing start, establishing them as a formidable force in the Western Conference. However, when he was asked if he has proven anything in the league, he had a very humbling answer.

He said, “I haven’t proven sh*t, I’ve played 30 games.” This not only shows how down-to-earth the athlete is but also shows us how serious he is about his craft. Currently, his team is second on the Western Conference Standings with 22 wins in 31 games. Not only Holmgren but after a squad revamp, the 405 have been gaining momentum and winning most of their matches.

The Thunder are on a four-game winning streak, demonstrating the team’s determination and ability to play at the highest level. This run has propelled them to a respectable 22-9 record, leaving them only one and a half games behind the top-seeded Minnesota Timberwolves. However, beyond the success of the team, Chet Holmgren’s performances have stood out showing his individual brilliance in every game.
