Seth Curry has been an impressive player throughout his time in the NBA. Seemingly following the family traditions, Seth has been a terrific three point shooter too. He currently ranks 6th all time in career three point field goal percentage. Despite his reputation however, Curry has always been on the move.
Curry played for a total of eight teams in his 10 year career so far but has made frequent returns to one team. The Dallas Mavericks have signed Curry three times over the last 10 years. Curry has also shared the court with the 6’7 Slovenian, Luka Doncic, in his time with the Mavericks. But with Curry all set to join the franchise yet again, the Mavericks gave him an interesting deal.
Seth Curry signed an $8M deal to return to the Mavericks after his stint with the Philadelphia 76ers and Brooklyn Nets. This is the first season he will be playing for the Mavericks since 2020. Interestingly, his deal is non-guaranteed in the second year as per reports. The 32-year-old’s stint with the Mavericks could potentially come to an end after the very first year if the Mavericks choose not to pick up his contract the next year.

Curry’s role in the Mavericks roster is major
Curry’s sharpshooting ability is one of the key reasons why the Mavericks signed him. His teammate Luka Doncic entering his 6th year in the league will heavily rely on Curry’s court magic.
Doncic is already looking like an all time great. With a sensational season in 2023, Doncic would only look to elevate his game in the coming season. However, Doncic is not only a scoring threat but also a terrific facilitator.
