The Phoenix Suns‘ 2023 season has been a mix of positive outcomes and letdowns. While they’ve had notable wins and defeats, fans are eagerly awaiting coach Frank Vogel to assemble a complete starting lineup featuring stars like Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal. However, a significant surprise awaits the Suns as they gear up for their crucial game against the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Sixers themselves are having issues of their own too. Instead of being able to take advantage of that situation, it seems like Book will be sitting the game out against Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey.

The Phoenix Suns won’t be fielding their full lineup of star players when they face the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday afternoon. Bradley Beal, their newly acquired star guard, will be absent due to an ongoing back injury. Additionally, the Suns will be without their star guard, Devin Booker, who has been grappling with an ankle sprain. Despite appearing in the Suns’ season opener against the Golden State Warriors on October 25 and scoring 32 points, Booker missed the following three games for Phoenix.

On Thursday, Booker was questionable but played against the San Antonio Spurs, scoring 31 points and 13 assists in a loss. However, he was ruled out early for Saturday’s game in Philadelphia due to an ankle sprain.?Book?s out today,? said Vogel. He further added, ?He has some soreness in the ankle and it?s a quick turnaround. This tip-off is 36 hours from when the game ended the other day. It?s a lot like a back-to-back, and he is coming off that ankle injury, and there was soreness, so he?s going to be out today.?

However, according to a Twitter post, “Vogel is “hopeful” Booker will play in second of back-to-back Sunday at Detroit.”?Despite the sudden injury the young All-star’s record has been formidable against the Sixers.

Last season, the Sixers and Suns split their two-game series. In an early November home game, the Sixers won 100-88, while in a late March away game, Phoenix dominated with a 125-105 victory. The upcoming game on Saturday is the 134th matchup between the Sixers and Suns. The fully healthy Sixers will look to have an advantage since Phoenix’s starting backcourt is missing.
