The 2023 NBA draft class saw some of the biggest names getting selected by teams in the league. And obviously, one player on the top of the list was none other than the French sensation, Victor Wembanyama. While the world is excited to see Wemby play, this veteran NBA analyst makes a big prophecy about Damian Lillard?s new teammate.

Despite being selected third overall, there are huge expectations from Scoot Henderson. So much so that this analyst believes Henderson will average more points than the unicorn.

NBA analyst picks Scoot Henderson over Victor Wembanyama

Victor Wembanyama is truly a generational talent. The 7?5 center has the agility of a point guard with shooting skills to match it. And not to mention a fairly decent post-game that helps him in the paint.

Yet NBA analyst Charlotte Wilder believes that Scoot Henderson will manage to average more points than the number one pick in the 2023 draft. During the latest episode of Oddball with Amin Elhassan and Charlotte Wilder, the latter brought forward this proposition.

She said, ?Scoot Henderson will average more points per game than Victor Wembanyama.? Her co-host Amin Elhassan could not help but agree to her stance given how the San Antonio Spurs organization will handle Wembanyama.

Amin said, ? I think Scoot will average more than Victor Wembanyama. I?ll be surprised if Victor Wembanyama averages enough minutes to average enough points to get more than Scoot. I think the Spurs are going to be very cautious with him.?

?They?re going to bring him along slowly. They?re going to want to protect their prize investment. Meanwhile, the Blazers need to sell tickets and Scoot is as exciting a product, especially if? Damian Lillard isn?t going to be there.?

Who will average more?

Both Scoot Henderson and Victor Wembanyama are great talents however the scales favor the French national more. Given his size and the skillset along with it, fans and even NBA analysts would pick Wembanyama over Scoot.

But the point made by Amin Elhassan does hold some value. Wemby is supposed to be the cornerstone of the Spurs franchise. So the team?s front office would not want to risk any injury to the future face of their organization.
