This week, LeBron James celebrated his 40th birthday, and fans got to see more than just the usual birthday festivities – they also got a celebration of the new year. As the 20-time All-Star soaked in the celebration, videos surfaced of him getting into the groove, singing along to various tracks like ‘You Don’t Know’ by Jay-Z and ‘Man at the Garden’ by Kendrick Lamar!
A-list guests like obviously his wife Savannah, Draymond Green, and longtime business partner Maverick Carter were also present. While fans were impressed with the King singing along to various tracks, there was someone who was fed up… DJ Meel, who was also present at the Lakers‘ first week of training camp, shared on his Instagram stories. In case you didn’t know, he is James’ go-to DJ.
In the story, the King vibed to the music, matching it word for word, while Savannah sat next to DJ Meel on her phone. Meel told her to get off the phone. She put her device down reluctantly and then she also vibed for a while.

But in one of his next stories, she appears sitting on a sofa, back on her phone again. Meel overlaid his story with the text, “She def tired of us *laughing emoji*”. By then, only Bron and three other men were on the dance floor, still partying.
LeBron and Savannah are not the only friends Meel has in the basketball world. Anthony Davis, for example, didn’t hold back in showing appreciation for the popular DJ during his “Testimonial Tuesday” episode. AD, who’s known him for almost five years, revealed that Meel even had the honor of spinning at his star-studded wedding back in 2021.
Even when Vannah appeared on “Testimonial Tuesday” she couldn’t stop praising DJ Meel’s party, calling it one of the best she’s ever had. When she looks back, 3 words stick with her: “Dancing, sweating, and knees.” Honestly, it sounds like a legendary night.

King James’ 40th birthday party turned into a social media sensation this week when a video of him rapping to Kendrick Lamar went viral. The King didn’t just celebrate another year; he showed off some serious lyrical skills, leaving fans shocked at how perfectly he rapped along. The internet couldn’t get enough, and fans couldn’t help but laugh and share the clip. Because he has been caught multiple times trying to read lyrics off a screen in the past. But he’s just showing his love and appreciation for the artist!
Now, for those who’ve been following LeBron for years, you know he and Drake go way back, regularly hyping each other up. But things got a little spicy when Drake got into it with K.Dot. LeBron’s decision to seemingly side with Kendrick, rather than his old Canadian buddy, had fans scratching their heads.

This wasn’t a one-time thing, either. LeBron’s been backing Kendrick for a while, often spotted vibing to his beats before games or attending his concerts. Watching him go off at his birthday party just proves that LeBron’s still all in for Kendrick Lamar.
I mean, it’s safe to say that K.Dot has a big fan in LeBron, don’t you think?
