For a major part of LeBron James’ two decades in the NBA, Savannah James lived away from the public eye. Mother of three, Savannah focused on her private life and kids- barely giving the audience a glimpse of the King’s better half. However, it wasn’t until three years ago when their now 10YO Zhuri said she wanted to be like Savannah. The 38-year-old felt underconfident, thinking she hadn’t accomplished much. Three years down the line, ‘Let It Break’ has become a project very dear to James and she’s proud of it (of course).
But the journey wasn’t so easy for Savannah James. She connected with April McDaniel, the founder of Crown + Conquer. McDaniel had collaborated with LeBron James for many years. In southern California, where LeBron plays for the Los Angeles Lakers, there are many wellness retreats and personal development workshops. McDaniel attended the Hoffman Process, an intense personal development retreat.
However, these groups mainly focused on networking and advancing in corporate careers. Savannah James sought connections with women’s groups for personal development. Unfortunately, those organizations didn’t resonate with her. “I kind of felt like because I didn’t have a title, I’m not welcome in these rooms,” she told Fortune.

Giving up wasn’t an option anymore. So, after rigorous efforts, Let It Break did see the light of dawn in 2024. They launched the organization in June of this year. It started with 100 members aged between their mid-20s and mid-70s. Each member pays $250 a month. The organization focuses on in-person programming in Los Angeles and New York.
Building a community like Let It Break has boosted James’s self-confidence. She recognizes this as her first project “of this magnitude.” “Building this business has been very different for myself and my family,” Savannah James told Fortune. “It’s definitely been stretching myself in ways that I hadn’t before.” However, James took that time, “selfishly, to grow,” and she feels “super happy” with her decision.
From staying away from the spotlight to taking center stage, Vannah is savoring the best of both worlds. However, the mother’s duties have no end. And the way she’s brought her kids up especially now when Bronny’s childhood days from Cleveland are out and about. It is safe to say, Mama James’ plans worked out just fine for the family.
Savannah James’ held the reins on Bronny’s use of his father’s billion-dollar empire
LeBron James has never shied away from crediting Savannah James for the children’s upbringing. “Savannah is the rock in our household. … Savannah sets down the laws, she sets down the rules, she sets down the guidance, she does it all,” King James said with pride. Indeed, Vannah took charge when her superstar husband was on his NBA errands and hardly ever stayed at home.
But, there’s more than just humility that Savannah James has taught her children. Especially, Bronny who has now stepped into the NBA world alongside his dad. It is always easy to get carried away by the billion-dollar empire LeBron James has built over the years and use it for personal leisure. But, Savannah made sure her children never went in that lane. For this and everything she has ever done, LeBron is grateful and open about it.
Savannah James has gracefully stepped into her own spotlight. She built a meaningful community, raised her family with purpose, and earned her superstar husband’s respect. In doing so, Savannah has shown that her quiet strength is her true power. Through Let It Break, she’s finally found her path. Now, she stands tall—an inspiring figure, balancing family, legacy, and self-growth.
