Like it or not, the James fam has picked a side. The proof continues to mount that LeBron James, his wife, and his kids are totally Camp Kendrick. It became prominent once more when Team USA beat Canada in the pre-Olympics exhibition opener. After a slow start, Anthony² (Edwards and Davis) led the Americans to an 86-72 win over Canada on Wednesday night in Las Vegas. Savannah and Zhuri were in the house supporting Bron’s fourth Olympic run. Sure, they were happy for him and his team. But it appeared the highlight of their Vegas night was jamming to Kendrick.

LeBron James, Savannah James, and Zhuri Nova James were spotted in a celebratory mood after Team USA’s win on the sidelines while Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” played in the T-Mobile Arena. Zhuri was jumping, screaming, and dancing, and Savannah imitated her moves a bit. But given her history, you know she’s savoring this.

This is epic on so many levels because it’s not only the trendiest beef in rap right now. In case anyone forgot, Aubrey Graham, aka Drake, is Canadian. This makes Team Canada falling to the US a bit of a burn to him with a double whammy of playing Lamar’s diss track as the victory song.

Both teams are stacked with NBA-grade talent. Team USA had a starting lineup with James, Stephen Curry, Joel Embiid, and Devin Booker. After struggling in the first quarter (international games are played with 10-minute quarters instead of the NBA’s 12 minutes) Team USA finally struck momentum for the rest of the game.

It’s becoming an easy trend to troll Canada for its affiliation with Drake ever since Lionel Messi’s Argentina played “Not Like Us” after beating Canada in the Copa America semis. The same track has become the Team USA anthem since it arrived in Vegas, which Savannah and Zhuri don’t mind at all. Fans in person and online were quick to notice, too.

Savannah James’ loyalty steals the show

Drizzy better sit out the Olympics as it’s only about, “She’s not a fan of the Canadian guy,” which one fan pointed out. Savannah and LeBron were one of the many NBA stars enjoying K-Dot’s spectacular Inglewood concert in May. While Bron didn’t join Russell Westbrook and DeMar DeRozan with Lamar on stage, Savannah noticeably enjoyed the live performance of “Not Like Us” most. 

It showed again during the Vegas stint, which one X user summarized as, “Zhuri getting down & you can tell Savannah doesn’t like Aubrey.” It gets more striking, as LeBron and Drake have been close friends for years. But the James fans are clear on their faves. Bron has shown an inclination for Lamar while, “It’s clear Savannah really hate drake. And Zhuri loves Megan.”

A couple of people noted, “The disrespect is crazy,” but reveled in the Canadian team’s loss. The ‘Drake Curse’ gets compounded with Lamar’s diss track prompting jabs like, “Not a good week for that rapper guy who bet $300k against Argentina.” From the looks of it, Team USA is going to ride the “Not Like Us” wave-like an anthem.

This means Savannah gets to enjoy it at a lot more games and Drake will have to endure the embarrassment over and over.
