December 30 this year marked a huge milestone for LeBron James as he celebrates his 39th birthday. Bron is currently the oldest active player in the NBA, and defying the odds of aging, he continues to awe fans through his dominating prowess on the court. At 39, LeBron is leading the Lakers’ charts in assists (7.4) and steals (1.5), and he somehow still manages to pull off his signature chase-down block. He continues to show incredible efficiency from all over the court.

As The King stepped into a new chapter of his life, the internet was flooded with heartwarming birthday wishes from friends, family, and fans. However, one particular greeting stood out above the others and it came from none other than his wife, Savannah. Bron couldn’t help but return the favor with an even sweeter response.

LeBron’s magical year

LeBron was able to lift the inaugural In-Season Tournament trophy with the Lakers, adding another banner to his long list of accolades. No one was surprised when he was also named as the MVP of the tournament. The next day, his oldest son, Bronny, made his USC debut and nothing else could have topped this feeling for proud father LeBron.

This was particularly special because just a few months back, Bronny suffered a heart attack during a basketball practice in college. This comeback was the icing on the cake for LeBron. 2023 has been a fruitful year for the 19X All-NBA superstar, smashing records left and right. The most memorable one was in February when he overtook Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s 38,387 points to become the highest scorer in NBA history. Retirement seems out of the picture for Bron, who has more to offer to the game of basketball.
