For now, Luka has taken to social media to express grief over his close friend befriending the coldness of eternal rest.

Doncic’s Monday ended with the most gut-wrenching news one could ever come across. The 25-year-old Slovenian point guard lost his friend, Janis Timma. Russian state media broke the terrible news, stating: “The body of 32-year-old Janis Timma was found in the entrance of a residential building in the center of Moscow. The preliminary cause of death was s***ide.”  

Following this, teams like the Memphis Grizzlies and the Orlando Magic shared heartfelt messages for the deceased. It wasn’t just the Boston Celtics star Kristaps Porzingis who refused to believe the heartbreaking news about his compatriot. Luka Doncic also took the massive blow. “RIP🙏🙏🙏,” the Mavericks wingman shared on his IG Story.

Unlike Porzingis, Luka Doncic chose to keep his Instagram story instead of deleting it, although it’s unclear why KP deleted his updates in the first place. Nonetheless, both European giants of the NBA are finding it difficult to rationalize this harsh reality of life.

And while messages are pouring in for the one who’s joined the stars in heaven, certain heartbreaking revelations are surfacing up: Janis Timma’s last moments were that of loneliness. His 2-word message for his wife will surely leave everyone in tears.

Luka Doncic’s friend left a message for his “Anya”

Timma was the Memphis Grizzlies’ 60th draft pick in 2013. He had a chance to become a star in the league, but sadly that did not happen. Although it remains a mystery why Luka Doncic’s friend Janis, decided to take his life, one of the emergency officials told the TASS news agency that a phone containing his “final wish” was found beside his body.

Meanwhile, an unnamed source told the Ren TV channel that the phrase “call Anya” appeared on his phone. Anya is the nickname of the popular Russian-Ukrainian popstar Anna Sedokova. She also happens to be Janis Timma’s ex-wife who celebrated her 42nd birthday on Monday.

Following his sad demise, Anna ‘Anya’ Sedokova appeared on Instagram in tears. She partly revealed the depth of her tumultuous private life stating that it was nothing short of “hell”. Anya turned to her fans, pleading for their help in shielding the devastating truth from the innocent ears of her children.

Not just family, but his friends Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis, and NBA teams Memphis Grizzlies and Orlando Magic are also mourning his untimely demise. In these trying times, one can only wish for peace and strength for those suffering. RIP Janis Timma.
