If the Phoenix Suns and their fans hoped being at home would improve their performance, everybody was in for a rude awakening. The Minnesota Timberwolves swept the Suns 126-109 at Footprint Center, Arizona. Boos and other forms of displeasure were heard as the Wolves took care of business in their usual manner. Speaking at the post-game press conference, Devin Booker had nothing much to say about the situation except for “rightfully so.”

Despite the loss, it was an almost evenly matched game. The Suns were never going to throw in the towel, and as such, they battled hard. David Booker finished the night with 23 points and 8 assists but was kept to 8-of-15 shooting from the floor. Kevin Durant had 25 for the night, and Bradley Beal scored a team-high 28 points while going 10-of-19.

As for the TWolves, it was a major team effort. Except for three players, the rest of the team scored in double digits. Rudy Gobert and Karl-Anthony Towns had double-doubles to finish the victorious night. Anthony Edwards came close to one as well, with a game-high 33 points along with five assists, and nine rebounds.

Their supporting cast was phenomenal! Compared to Phoenix’s roster, Minnesota got 40 shots in from all over the field and converted 18 of them for a 45% shooting. Although the Suns rallied in the fourth quarter (36-31), it just wasn’t enough to stand against the Wolves’ dominant first three quarters (95). But that wasn’t all that happened in the fourth quarter.

Devin Booker gets into a heated altercation with Wolves’ Jaden McDaniels

Game 3 didn’t finish without a McDaniels-Booker drama. In the final quarter, the pair of them got into a heated verbal exchange. As Book was trying to get his way past a tough defense, Jaden grabbed his left arm, which led to losing an open look. Not happy after committing the obvious foul, McDaniels swatted the ball out of Devin’s hands.

But Booker isn’t one of the superstars of the Suns for nothing. He timed it perfectly and got the ball back. Hilariously enough, McDaniels got mad and launched a verbal rant. This time, Devin Booker did not keep quiet. He gave it as well as he got. Teammates, refs, and security soon ran in, but fortunately, no showing of hands happened.

And the officials got everything under control with a double technical. But this isn’t the first time the duo have taken offense with each other. Game 2 also saw the two of them get into it. And at the time, it was a shoving match in the second quarter. After sinking a midrange shot, Booker was on his way back when Jaden McDaniel pushed him. Book shoved him back, and Daniels again shoved back.

Everyone ran to the spot and pulled the two apart. After the review, McDaniels was assessed a tech, while Booker received a common foul. Aside from all of these, the Suns now have just one more chance. As for the Wolves, will they become the first team to advance into the semis? Stay close to learn more!
