The Phoenix Suns have acquired forward Kevin Durant from the Brooklyn Nets in an NBA deal.? He signed a $194 million extension, spanning over four years back in 2021. The deal kicked in this season. Durant will join forces with young talent T.J. Warren in Phoenix’s frontcourt as part of the deal, which also involves the Milwaukee Bucks and the Indiana Pacers.

Things look really good for the Suns with Devin Booker, Chris Paul and Deandre Ayton on their lineup alongside KD. However, Zion Williamson’s beloved team has been experiencing a protracted championship drought. And an NBA analyst has a solution for this.

The New York Knicks is one of the most prestigious and storied NBA teams. Unfortunately, the last NBA Championship they won was half a century ago, leaving their devoted fanbase longing for a return to glory. However, like all the NBA teams, they too have been gearing up for the upcoming season. And things are starting to look better for the team since they acquired Jalen Brunson.

Jalen Brunson is one of the Knicks’ most outstanding players. Even though he might be considered the second-best player on a team that is running for the championship, it is improbable that he could handle the weight of being the team’s main star. It would be challenging for him to guide a group through the severe expectations of reaching the playoffs and to its championship dreams.

Furthermore, Julius Randle has also been a revelation for the Knicks. He has reached an elite level with his flexibility and increased scoring and playmaking skills. But he will need to step up his game even more if he wants to compete with the elite players in the league. The team desperately needs a star player. And NBA analyst Marc J Spears surely has the solution for Zion Williamson‘s beloved Knicks.

Spears recently disclosed his opinion that Kevin Durant should have joined the Knicks.

He said, “I think KD should have went there. I think it would have done wonders for him and his career and in the spotlight in New York. But that weight of 50 years and not having won a championship, dealing with the back page and all, that I think it has scared New York from getting that Marquee guy, that is a top 15 Jersey seller kind of guy and, uh, perennial All-Star.”

According to him, the addition of Kevin Durant could be the move that the Knicks need to make in order to strive for a championship title. With KD, it is possible that the Knicks might be able to make it past the top six of the Eastern Conference. And possibly win a title too.

The New York Knicks were once again at the center of the NBA free agency fever in the summer of 2019. With a daring move, they sold away Kristaps Porzingis, their prized asset, to open up two alluring max-salary spots and make room for possible superstar pairs. Kevin Durant was the centerpiece of the Knicks’ masterful strategy, which was put together by their astute front office.

In anticipation of Durant donning the recognizable orange and blue uniform, fans held their breath as speculations swirled. But despite all the speculation and rumors spread by the media, the truth was very different from what one believed. Kevin Durant had already made up his mind before the frenzied transaction and accompanying rumors. He dismissed the rumors on an episode of the podcast The Old Man and the Three.

“I didn’t want to be the savior of the Knicks or New York,” he said. “I didn’t care about being the king of New York. That never really moved me. I didn’t care about being on Broadway. I just wanted to play ball and go to the crib and chill. And that’s what Brooklyn embodied.”

By February, Durant had eliminated New York from his list of probable cities, joining the Nets. Would you like to see KD in the Knicks? Let us know in the comments below!
