It’s official! As the Warriors continue with their win-now approach, they’ve finalized a blockbuster trade to acquire Dennis Schroder. Obviously, this move would require the star guard and his family to uproot their lives from Brooklyn and adjust to a completely new environment. However, the German hoopster is happy that this transition has come prior to the holiday season, saving him from the major trouble of house hunting and running around.
Revealing his initial reaction to getting traded, Dennis Schroder said during today’s presser, “When it got announced when my agent called me, I was shocked.” Well, the reaction is understandable, considering it has only been a few months since he got traded from the Raptors to the Nets. And just when he was beginning to settle in Brooklyn, the Warriors’ trade changed things once again, “I liked the situation in Brooklyn, we just got settled in the house. Shipped everything, unpacked everything and then we got the call.”
Regardless, Dennis Schroder is happy with where he is now, “At the end of the day, me and my family, we happy, now. We just got to move them over, hopefully before Christmas. But I think it’s better now than the trade deadline. Hopefully, my family can come down and then we get all settled and be all together again.”

Sure enough, the hoopster has over a week to hopefully find a long-term home and get his wife Ellen and the rest of the family settled in the Bay Area. At this point, it would be safe to say that Dennis Schroder is used to such major transitions as the Warriors will be the eighth franchise he plays for in his career. Moreover, his new teammates are ready to welcome him with open arms.

Stephen Curry is “excited” while Draymond Green “looks forward” to playing with Dennis Schroder!
While Schroder is busy bringing his family to the Bay Area, his new teammates are hyped to share the court with him. During a recent presser, Stephen Curry reacted to the trade, saying, “It happened pretty quick to be honest and excited about the opportunity to play with a guy that you played against for a long time.” Then, the Baby-Faced Assassin admired Dennis’ competitiveness and claimed that this move “gives us another guy that can attack a defense.” Moreover, he expects it to be a seamless transition for the newcomer.
And Bay Area’s floor general shared a similar sentiment: “I love the demeanor that he carries himself with. He carries himself like he belongs in every room, at all times. I respect people like that. Looking forward to being teammates, getting to know him better.”

Well, Dennis Schroder is having the best year of his NBA career, averaging 18.4 points and nearly seven assists. And the hoopster could be the secondary ball handler that the Warriors desperately and consistently need. Surely, if he lives up to the expectations, the former Nets star will get a lot of love from Dub Nation, which will make the transition for him and his family even smoother.
