“We need him. He knows that. We all know that,” a contemplative Stephen Curry spoke about Draymond Green’s ejection after the game. Green, resorting to his boisterous ways, argued at length with the referees early against the Orlando Magic. Teammates and squad intervened, stealing him to the sideline after his first technical foul. However, Green, steadfast in speaking his mind, solidified his exit within the first 4 minutes of the game. Boldly, he walked towards the locker room before the referees could whistle the second tech.
A concerned Stephen Curry appeared to tear up a bit after being consoled by Steve Kerr. In turn, fans and the NBA world now question Draymond’s accountability. Moreover, there’s a notion that Green, through his decorated history of suspensions, has not learned his lessons. On the recent Nightcap podcast, Shannon Sharpe radiated the same, highlighting Draymond Green‘s Game 5 suspension from the 2016 NBA finals.
However, Gilbert Arenas backed Green for the Wednesday night ejection. “This one, I don’t put on him, I put it on the ref.” Gilbert claims that Green was simply probing the referee for a play on court, supposedly for “Paolo [Banchero] throwing his shoulder.” He further reasons, “He is trying to get answers. This is a one-on-one conversation... You can’t use that ‘he was upstaging me at this point’. So, no matter what he’s saying to you, it’s private. You decide to give him a technical. That’s the one I don’t like.” Establishing that, Gilbert indicates that Green was not loudly pressing on the ref, and instead puts the sanctity of the referee’s decision under question.

Moreover, defending Green for the second technical foul, Gilbert said the Green simply demanded reasons for his initial tech. With that, Shannon claimed that Green should refrain from such confrontations, hilariously citing him to be the worst negotiator on the Warriors squad.

Steve Kerr thinks Draymond Green deserved an ejection
In the post-game interview, Steve Kerr sided with the fans, potentially pitting Green to evaluate his decisions on the court. When asked about Green’s verbal tussle with the refs, Kerr immediately headlined, “Too bad. It was unfortunate. He deserved it,” as if premeditating the question.
However, Kerr then immediately radiated a positive light on the roster. Starting from Green, he claimed that the veteran will bounce back soon. As Andrew Wiggins and Stephen Curry spearheaded the Warriors, Kerr resorted to giving the bench players their credits. He applauded Moses Moody for his consistent role off the bench, including Gary Payton and Gui Santos for their timely contribution.
