With the 2024 NBA Draft approaching, there are two types of people having butterflies in their stomachs right now. The first category features the die-hard fans of the franchises who can’t wait to see their new rookie. The other one includes the ones who’ll be the most affected by the Wednesday night event. Bronny James certainly falls in the second category.

Being the Lakers great’s son is no easy feat. The constant comparison, the relentless scrutiny, the tons of expectations, everything can be overwhelming for a 19-year-old. But for Bronny, that was far from it, which even earned him praise from LeBron. Now, with only a few hours remaining, Bronny opened up about his true feelings about his impending judgment day.

During the latest episode of “Sneaker Shopping With Complex”, host Joe La Puma was joined by the USC guard. Talking about various shoes from the past releases of the Nike LeBron line, the obvious question popped up. When asked about his excitement going into the Draft, Bronny’s answer was simple but definitive. Maintaining his confident demeanor, Bronny said, “Yeah, man, it’s a blessing. My dreams are finally coming true, and it’s a grateful opportunity that I’m ready to take advantage of.

After a less-than-impressive season with the Trojans, marred with physical toil, Bronny entered the pre-draft picture in a handicap situation. His impressive performance at the Chicago Draft Combine reminded everyone that he belongs to the James family. With multiple suitors in the Western Conference, Bronny only worked out with the Lakers and the Suns. But now the picture looks starkly contrasting.

Bronny James to Enter Draft at Risk of Going Undrafted

With the NBA Draft rapidly approaching, the reports are springing up proportionally. According to Brett Siegel of Clutchpoints, Bronny James will either end up with the Lakers or will go undrafted. League sources believe that the other teams interested in him are mostly ready for a two-way deal.

But the verdict regarding the two-way deal is already in front of us. Bronny’s agent, Rich Paul, binned the possibility of Bronny joining a team with a two-way contract. In a recent interview with Chris B. Haynes, Paul made himself clear over the possibility of James Jr. signing a 2-way deal. “Yes, that’s absolutely true. Teams know that. I’m not doing that,” Paul told Bleacher Report.

With the latest update, it seems Bronny is sealed for the number 55 pick of the Lakers. In case he goes undrafted, there is always the option to go back to USC. Another year in the tank could do a world of good for the point guard. But then again, things can change even in a matter of hours leading up to the NBA Draft.
