King James’ first basketball shoes dropped two decades ago in 2003. Since then, his sneaker line has evolved with time and turned into one of the most fruitful ventures for both Nike and LeBron. A fan criticized the lack of innovation in King James’ sneaker line over the years, “Nike clearly aint expect born to still be playing. They ran out of ideas seasons ago lol.” Others compared his basketball shoes to Michael Jordan’s iconic sneakers, “He already at 21 and I’ve yet to see ONE pair as dope as Jordans.” Being one of the most popular athletes in the world, LeBron always faces some criticism for whatever he does. Many fans do not even like his 21-year-old sneaker line, “Trash just like the rest of them.”

The 19-time All-Star’s new sneakers seem heavily inspired by aquatic elements. The White and Gold colorway was modeled after the properties of an oyster shell. And LeBron 21’s second release represents the “Abalone Pearl”. Nike and The Akron Hammer have also taken inspiration from LeBron’s eight-year-old daughter, Zhuri James.
