Both the Mavs and the Timberwolves will be looking to improve this season. As last season, both the teams had quite a disappointing run. The Wolves lost to the Nuggets in the first round of the playoffs. And the Mavs didn’t even make the playoffs, even with the likes of Kyrie and Luka in their ranks. Both the teams are led by two talented superstars and it is expected of them to lead their respective teams to NBA glory.

The Timberwolves have one of the best young players in the league. Last season Ant averaged 24.6 points, 5.8 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game. His shooting splits were also pretty decent, he shot 36.9% from beyond the arc and had a field goal (FG) percentage of 45.9%. The Wolves would also rely on their long-time player, Karl Anthony Towns. He averaged 20.1 points and 8.1 rebounds per game. He shot 36.6% from beyond the arc and had a very efficient FG% of 49.5%.

The Mavs, on the other hand, should be right in the mix for a title shot as they have two of the best offensive players on their roster. After a full offseason, Mavs’ fans would hope that Luka and Kyrie have worked on their chemistry. Luka averaged the 2nd most points per game last season with 32.4 points per game. With a decent 3pt% of 34.2%.

Luka will be supported by Kyrie Irving, who can be considered one of the most clutch players in the NBA right now. He averaged 26.9 points and 6 assists per game, and his shooting splits are quite ridiculous. He shot 39.2% from beyond the arc and has a FG% of 51%. Both Kyrie and Luka can be classified under elite shot creators.
