Golden State Warriors star player Stephen Curry and his wife Ayesha have made use of the past few years to establish themselves as one of the most prominent ‘powerhouse’ couples within the NBA fraternity. While her husband continues to dominate the basketball court during his 14 season with the league, Mrs. Curry continues to involve herself with various initiatives from time to time and works on maintaining and improving her lifestyle brand ‘Sweet July’.

Given the national and international fame that Ayesha has garnered for herself over the past few years, fans would not have expected her to enjoy the simplicity of a quiet, home-centered existence. In light of the recent news of the 34-year-old expecting her fourth child, however, it seems that she is slowly warming up to the idea of breaking the Mold and adopting a “homebody” lifestyle.

A few hours ago, Ayesha Curry took to her official Instagram account to share a story with her 7.9 million followers. The video attached in the same was published by author and licensed therapist, April Snow. The short clip highlighted a couple of people relaxing in their own homes, engaging in an activity that they find peaceful. A few of them chose to spend some time with a book on their lap while another individual put on some headphones to relax with some music. Another person chose to just enjoy a nice warm drink. The short video captioned “pov: you’re a highly sensitive homebody”, highlighted the lesson that sometimes it is ok to take a break from the “intense” outside world and just “carve out” a day with nothing on your agenda. This can help your mind and emotions to settle much more quickly and can sooner prepare you to re-engage with the outside world.

By uploading the video on her story, Ayesha was spreading the same message to herself and her followers. Given that she will probably have to stay indoors for most of the time during her pregnancy period, Ayesha would soon choose to adopt the teachings of April Snow and spend a few days living the life of a “homebody”.

Stephen Curry himself has been a prominent supporter of mental health and the significance it holds in the world of sports. Athletes constantly find themselves being surrounded by intense competition and continuously being under the media spotlight, which can generate a lot of unwanted attention and hatred. An example of the same occurred back in 2021 when Japanese tennis player Naomi Osaka withdrew from the French Open to deal with her issues with depression and anxiety. Curry took to X to voice his support of the decision by writing “You shouldnt ever have to make a decison like this-but so damn impressive taking the high road when the powers that be dont protect their own. major respect @naomiosaka”.
