Stephen Curry out!?

Right when everyone thought the Warriors had everything figured out this season, they’ve had a massive reality check. It was Stephen Curry’s ankle again. Unlike the first two games, the Bay Area side couldn’t get their buckets rolling, as the LA Clippers pretty much dictated the game. On the other hand, the Splash Bro, who looked hot in the beginning, couldn’t radiate it to the rest of the side. And to top it all, the hooper twisted his left ankle in the second half.

During the late end of the third quarter where the Dubs were trailing behind by 10 points, Stephen Curry twisted his ankle during his off-ball movement. The superstar immediately rushed to the bench and the medical team was there, quickly inspecting him. Nevertheless, it didn’t seem as scary as it did in the beginning, as Steph stretched his ankles and prepared himself to check back in.

The superstar did clock back in the fourth quarter, leaving the entire Chase Center on their feet. However, it didn’t last long as Stephen Curry rolled the same ankle again near the baseline…

This time it looked even more severe, as the hooper immediately rushed to the locker room. Steph and ankle injuries have also almost become synonymous. It began in his rookie season and still has been annoyingly chasing him in his 16th year.

On the other hand, the rest of the Warriors roster headed to their first loss of the season. In fact, it was Baby-faced Assassin‘s first loss since the beginning of the Paris Olympics! More than loss, now it’s about the number of games that the 4x NBA Champ is about to miss or will he just return to the next game? Before we wrap our heads around the update, if any, let’s take a look at the fans’ mood.

As expected, the emotions were overflowing, as fans flooded the comments section with sympathy and relatable sentiments. A fan wrote, “Praying for you, goat,” literally representing every single Bay Area fan who doesn’t want to witness yet another Warriors setback. While they’re yet to move on from Klay Thompson’s departure, Dub Nation can’t fathom a season without their legend.

Is Stephen Curry's recurring ankle injury the Achilles' heel for the Warriors this season?

Have an interesting take?

We can’t really understand what this particular fan was trying to say. Were they threatening Curry to get better soon? The fan wrote, “if stephen curry is injured i’ll k–l myself.” Well, as graphic as this comment sounded, we hope that the superstar makes a quick return to the court and continues like nothing ever happened! On the other end, a netizen had already given up, as they wrote, “It’s over bro.” This comment may have sounded apt, had they mentioned it during the 2019-20 season.

It was the time when both Steph and Klay missed an entire season and the team finished last in the regular season with just 15 wins. That was truly devastating. But nevertheless, the situation doesn’t seem that bad today, but we can’t be so sure either.

Until the Golden State Warriors drop an official update on Stephen Curry’s ankle, the Dubs’ title run this season hangs by a thread. Most importantly, a fan had an important suggestion to the Bay Area side’s management, as they wrote, “He gotta switch shoes smh rolled his ankle twice.” Well, he’s been wearing the Curry 12 in recent times. Anyway, let’s hope that the injury isn’t very serious!
