The Minnesota Timberwolves are in the midst of what can be called a basketball renaissance. After failing to advance further than the first round in the last two seasons, they’re now poised to contend for a championship in the competitive Western Conference. They have been enjoying the first seed in the West for quite a while now, thanks in huge part to the rise of their All-Star guard, Anthony Edwards.

Just in his fourth season in the league, Ant-Man has already drawn comparisons to basketball greats such as Michael Jordan due to his insane athleticism and basketball IQ. His dazzling displays of brilliance have even captivated Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green, who, forgetting about the nearly 10-point differential between the two teams, heaped high praise on the 22-year-old.

During a recent appearance on Jeff Teague’s Club 520 podcast, Draymond Green sat down to discuss the best trash talkers in the league. One name that sparked his admiration was Anthony Edwards, whom he had several run-ins with this season. Despite being one of the most notorious trash-talkers in the league, even Green finds it hard to trash-talk Ant-Man. “Ant (Anthony Edwards) talks more than anybody by the way, and he’s so good there’s not much you can say. He knows he’s good and that’s dangerous and he’s carrying that team, which is nuts because they’ve got some guys that have lost a lot on that team and he’s carrying them like they some winners. That’s a special gift man,” said Green.

Ant-Man is indeed carrying the team. After years of obscurity, he finally put them back on the map. The T-Wolves boast a stellar record this season, with 39 wins in the 56 games they have played. On an individual level, he has been lighting up the scoreboards on a regular basis, accumulating impressive averages of 26.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 5.2 assists on a 46.8 percent shooting efficiency from the field. The Warriors, however, are a far cry from the top seed, trailing the Wolves by 9.5 games. Can they turn their season around now?

Can the Warriors turn their season around?

The Golden State Warriors began the season with championship aspirations, but as the season progressed, those dreams seemed increasingly distant. The veteran core of the team showed signs of age and wear, with injuries hampering Klay Thompson’s production and Draymond Green struggling to stay on the court. However, amid these challenges, the team’s young core emerged as a bright spot, stepping up admirably to fill the void.

The Warriors had won six of their eight games entering the All-Star break. They picked up right where they left off, clinching back-to-back victories since returning from the break. Currently holding the 10th spot, they are on the cusp of dropping out of the play-in picture. However, with three consecutive wins, they are showing signs of a potential surge. If they can sustain this level of play through the final stretch of the regular season, they could become a serious threat once the playoffs begin.
