Ten years ago, the Warriors and Stephen Curry changed the game forever. That 2015 championship? It was more than just a title—it was the spark that started a dynasty. Ten years later, tonight Chase Center is packed, and charged with energy, as the Warriors relive that magical run.
But while tonight’s all about looking back, what about the present? That’s a whole different story. Right now, it’s chaos—a brutal playoff race, tons of uncertainty, and a social media screw-up that had fans thinking the future was already decided.
The Warriors’ official X (formerly Twitter) account scrawled out a routine message before tip-off about tonight’s championship celebration. It was normal… with one hilarious mistake.

“The Warriors will honor their 2025 NBA championship team at halftime tonight to mark the 10-year anniversary of their historic run 🏆.”
Wait… 2025 champions? The post vanished within minutes, but fans grabbed their screenshots first. Was this a typo? A joke? Or did they simply leak the future by mistake? We’ll get to that in a minute!
Going back to the Dubs’ season, no matter how ridiculous Steph has been this year, they are still fighting for their playoff lives. Since trading for Jimmy Butler, they’ve gone 5-1, playing their best basketball of the year. The defense is locked in—third in the league—and with Kuminga set to return after averaging 23.8 points and 7.2 rebounds in his last five games, there’s real hope that this team can actually make a run.
But here’s the problem—Steph and the Warriors don’t fully control their own fate.

Right now, they’re sitting at the No. 10 seed, and their 58.33% chance of making the playoffs isn’t just about how well they play. Their season is tied to nine other teams—the Suns, Blazers, Spurs, Jazz, and Pelicans need to take some Ls, while the Lakers, Grizzlies, Thunder, and Nuggets need to win the right games to help them out.
So yeah, it’s a waiting game—a stressful one. And if that wasn’t enough, the Warriors’ social media team just sent fans into a full-on frenzy.
Did the Warriors Just Reveal Steph’s Future?
As soon as the above-mentioned post was deleted, Twitter went wild. Some people weren’t even questioning it—they just straight-up took it as confirmation that Steph was about to add another ring: “2025 champs confirmed.” And honestly, it’s not that crazy of a take.
Stephen Curry is still playing at an elite level, Butler has made a real impact, and the Warriors’ defense has been elite. Add in Kuminga’s return, and suddenly, they don’t feel like a team that should be fighting for a play-in spot. If you’re looking for a dark-horse contender, this squad is starting to look like one at just the right time.
Then, of course, the conspiracy theories started rolling in. “Script leak‼️” This is a running joke with the whole NBA ‘script’ thing. People swore back in 2023 that there was a leaked ‘script’ with the Lakers and Celtics facing off in the Finals — which obviously didn’t happen. But this? It wasn’t just one random fan theory. It was reported using the Warriors’ official account (and quickly deleted!).
Some fans didn’t see it as a mistake at all. They saw it as a bold statement—one that sounded an awful lot like something Draymond would say. “Damn, bold of the whole Dubs organization to back up Dray like that, I like it.” Draymond has never lacked confidence, and if there’s one guy who believes the Warriors are winning it all, it’s him. Maybe this was just an innocent slip-up. Or maybe it was a not-so-subtle way of saying, ‘We’re winning this thing.’

Either way, some fans were all-in, typo or not. “Warriors winning the 2025 chip too?!! F yeah baby let’s go!!!”
It isn’t just about this moment but about what Steph can still do. ‘Jimmy Buckets’ has changed the vibe, the Warriors have turned their season around, and Kuminga is just about to come back. Steph has pulled the impossible before … but the road to the playoffs is still a mess.
