Several phrases can be used to describe the ongoing NBA regular season. One of them can most likely be: ‘Injury Ridden.’ All across the Western and Eastern Conferences, players from different teams are going down from different ailments. Even the Warriors have not excluded Stephen Curry, who had to deal with both ankle and knee injuries, while they have now ruled out De’Anthony Melton due to an ACL injury. If someone may have shouted ‘That’s Enough’, than what transpired with Brandin Podziemski during the recent game would have made them more frustrated.
During the ongoing Warriors-Jazz game, Brandin Podziemski ended up taking another shot to the face, which led to him being down on the court for several minutes. The same occurred after Clint Capela attempted to make a layup and accidentally had his other hand come into contact with the player. Anthony Slater later reported that Podziemski went straight to the locker room. This was enough to raise worries amongst social media users.

In the aftermath of the Warriors-Jazz game, Brandin Podziemski had an X-Ray conducted on his face. NBA reporter Brandin Podziemski revealed that that the X-rays have come negative on Brandin Podziemski’s nose. According to Steve Kerr, this will place Podziemski on a Day-to-day status now. While it is a relief that the officials did not outright declare the player ‘OUT’, even the fact that they will make his availability a game-time decision is concerning.
One social media user took Brandon Podziemski’s exit too close to heart. This compelled him to highlight his full reaction in all-caps. He wrote “NOOOOO BRANDON MY HEART IS BEATING SO FAST PLEASE IF PODZ HAS TO MISS TIME WE WOULD BE LOSING ALMOST ALL OUR OFFENSIVE PLAYMAKING.”
A few days ago, doctors diagnosed Stephen Curry with a knee injury. However, the same did not stop him from participating to his best during the Clippers game. In fact, before the matchup, they captured the player running up and down the famed ‘Wall’ of the Intuit Dome. For the Hawks matchup, they listed him as ‘probable’. However, Curry still came in and dropped 23 points in 30 minutes. Therefore, the main scorer is certainly not going anywhere. In fact, even if Podziemski remained out for long, other offensive stars like Buddy Hield and Moses Moody can cover for him.
Dr Nirav Pandya, known injury analyst for ‘95.7 The Game’ took to X and wrote “Hopefully it’s not anything major”. The message was accompanied by a folded hands emoji. The physician had earlier provided an analysis of Stephen Curry’s ankle injury from a few weeks ago, and had also discussed De’Anthony Melton’s ACL Sprain. If Podziemski continues to be sidelined for long, Dr Pandya may also come up with a report to highlight details of the player’s condition to Warriors fans.
The trend of taking Brandin Podziemski’s exit in a hard manner continued with another social media user. He highlighted Anthony Slater’s tweet and wrote “Saddest Moment in warriors history.”

Well, there certainly have been worse moments in the history of the Warriors. Even in the golden era that Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green created. After all, who can forget the 2019-20 season, when the franchise ended dead last on the Western Conference points chart with a 15-50 record? Furthermore, the previous season, the Warriors didn’t even make the Play-In series. Now, the franchise stands strong with a 11-3 record. While Brandin Podziemski’s absence may hurt the team, they are in a strong position. The Warriors can afford losing some crucial points, and even some wins, at this point of time.
One individual did not choose to be too wordy with his reaction. He simply wrote “Dang man”, accompanied by a folded hands emoji.

Over the last 13 games, Brandin Podziemski has averaged 7.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 3.3 assists. This average stat is lower than what the player secured during the previous season, aka his rookie season. However, he had been slowly and steadily making progress. Therefore, for an injury to hamper this progress can certainly bring out a ‘Dang man’ from the fans.
Overall, the majority of reactions saw fans being sympathetic with Brandin Podziemski. The Golden State Warriors will play their next game less than 48 hours from now. Whether one day will be enough to change Podziemski’s ‘Day-To-Day’ status is a question that remains to be answered.
