After Joel Embiid has been sidelined due to his injury, the Philadelphia 76ers have been on a decline. Once the top contenders in the Eastern Conference, the Sixers are now on a three-game losing streak, having suffered losses in seven of their last eight games. Owing to this, they are in search of some valuable additions to their team amidst the approaching trade deadline.
On the Sportscenter, an NBA analyst revealed the possible prospects the Sixers have been eyeing. He said, “One team they have had a lot of conversations with is Detriot for Alec Burks and Bojan Bogdanovic. I am told that those talks broke down this evening but Philly is all over the map trying to get some size some shooting, some playmaking. They have been in a freefall without not just Joel Embiid but avid players like De’Anthony Melton and Tobias Harris.”

Just like Joel Embiid, the 25-year-old point guard De’Anthony Melton has been out because of an injury. He has been missing in action since January 12th due to a lumbar spine stress response but thankfully is recovering and has been seen at practice sessions getting some on-court work done. As for Tobias Harris, even though he was out for a brief period due to an illness, he showed his effect in the match against the Warriors last night.
Averaging 13 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists, he was one of the few who tried to find ways to score and rebounded at every possible chance he got. However, even then, the Sixers suffered a terrible 127-104 loss against the Dubs due to which they are looking for some extra reinforcements.

Bojan Bogdanovic is a talented shooter with a career 39.5% three-point shooting average and is a promising offensive acquisition for the Sixers. His ability to cover the floor would complement Philadelphia’s best players by offering valuable space and scoring potential from beyond the arc. However, questions remain regarding his defensive talents as he has not been able to shine in that area and the opponents may target him at that end of the court.

Meanwhile, Alec Burks provides diversity and an offensive flair off the bench. Burks’ ability to create his own shots and contribute as an attacker and playmaker might add the necessary depth to the Sixers’ roster. He even has some playoff experience which might be particularly helpful during important postseason stages.
