Boston Celtics hooper Payton Pritchard and Emma Macdonald tied the knot in August this year in Harwich Port, Mass. Pritchard’s ex-teammate and retired NBA star Blake Griffin officiated the ceremony. It was a star-studded event with a ‘New England Coastal’ aesthetic. With many C’s stars attending the wedding at Wychmere Beach Club, except for those playing at the Olympics, the power couple still managed to keep the gathering intimate. Speaking of picturesque moments, they witnessed another one quite recently.
Since getting hitched, the couple has been enjoying their time together. Recently, the content creator, however, shared a wholesome moment on her Instagram stories. The couple was out on a walk with their dogs, but as it turned out, Payton Pritchard couldn’t stop his urge when he saw the hoop. He ended up playing 1v1 against a kid!
This was captured by Emma, and she shared this wholesome moment. She captioned the story, “We took our dog to the park and I turn around and find him here,” followed by a laughing emoji stating that Payton Pritchard dropped out of his walk to likely relive some of his childhood memories, of playing in the park against a kid.

Well, the Celtics point guard is enjoying his time on the court, as he’s been enjoying his time with his wife off-court. He has been in great form, as the rest of the squad. Let’s take a look at how he has started his season, after winning the NBA championship.
Payton Pritchard’s season so far, denied a picture-perfect moment!
Payton Pritchard and the Celtics started their season with a statement win against the Knicks at the TD Center. He was on the court for 25 minutes and did not have the greatest impact, only making 3 points in a winning cause. It was a performance to forget for the 26-year-old. However, in the second game against the Wizards, he made 15 points from 28 minutes of game time.

Well, the main highlight of Pritchard’s performance wasn’t his points. It was in the third quarter of the game when just 0.2 seconds were left on the clock. The hooper had the ball, and he shot it almost from 3/4 of the court’s length and it went in with the buzzer!

Everyone in the arena was shocked, including Pritchard himself, who put his hand on his hand in disbelief. However, the shot did not count, as the refs immediately signaled, which was disappointing, taking the sting of the moment away! After the game, he was asked if he practices full-court shots, to which his answer was “never,” making his shot look even cooler, even though it didn’t count.
In the latest game against the Detroit Pistons on Sunday, the hooper put up quite a show, scoring 19 points in just 19 minutes. Payton Pritchard also had a great 3-point shooting accuracy of 71.4%. The Boston hooper’s getting into the groove with every game and looks like a solid backup point guard for the Celtics going into the season.
