“I think my first impression was – This is gonna be a fun year.” When Paul George joined the Sixers last summer, he expected his time in Philly to be smooth sailing. But the reality could not have been far from it. Of course, the constant injury concerns have forced PG to miss several games. And even when he is healthy, his numbers have declined significantly from last year, averaging only 16.1 points.
Unfortunately, the star forward hit another low during tonight’s Nets clash, leading to the enraged fans resurfacing an embarrassing stat about him.
With Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid sidelined George was expected to put up an elite performance. However, he crumbled under pressure and finished with only 2 points on an abysmal one-of-seven shooting. Sure enough, the Philadelphia franchise lost the game by four points.

Meanwhile, supporting stars Kelly Oubre Jr. and Quentin Grimes combined for an impressive 60 points. Had PG lived up to his end of the bargain, the Sixers could have easily come out with a victory. As expected, his disappointing performance brought a lot of criticism, with one netizen reminding the world, “Bro still has more uploaded podcast clips than Sixers buckets btw.”
Amid PG’s underwhelming season, a stat has been making rounds on the internet that he has fewer field goals made wearing the Sixers uniform than the number of Podcast clips he has uploaded on his YouTube channel since joining the team. Including tonight, the forward’s field goal tally is only 207 compared to 228 uploaded clips. Not what fans want to see from their superstar.

Obviously, George’s media career always comes into question whenever he does not perform well on the court, deeming it a distraction from his full-time job. However, he clarified his stance on the allegations last year, “I know people think, you know, I should be in the gym 24 hours out of the day. But no one does that. I don’t care who the greats are, they’ve all had things outside of basketball. And so, you know, I found the passion in the media space.”
Yes, PG claims the time invested in his podcast is more “therapeutic” than a distraction. But it’s hard to beat the accusations when he cannot prove his words on the hardwood.
Calls mount against Paul George as Philly fans urge the Sixers to “Trade Him” after 2-point game
Well, when a player is being paid $212 million in salary, there are certain expectations he needs to fulfill. Unfortunately, PG has failed to do so. And enraged Philly fans are bombarding him with humiliating nicknames like “He really is Podcast P now” and “Pandemic P: The Return.”
Of course, ‘Pandemic P’ stemmed from his disappointing performance in the Bubble five years ago. Especially when he hit the side of the backboard on his three-point attempt in a playoff elimination game against the Nuggets.

One netizen even deemed him “the worst player in the NBA” as an angry Philly fan claimed, “Bro needs to get traded.” Well, it is unlikely that Daryl Morey will trade George so soon, considering all the trouble he went through to acquire him in the first place.
However, the Sixers are stuck at the 11th spot in the East standings. Plus, they are showing no signs of salvaging the situation. Of course, fans’ frustration will continue to escalate as the season progresses if their so-called “Big Three” cannot turn things around. But it will not happen if Paul George continues to disappoint like he did tonight. Do you agree?
