Paul George, one of the NBA’s most sought-after stars, has dropped a bombshell that could reshape the league’s future. Ever since Joel Embiid hinted towards wanting to bring Paul George into the 76ers, the nine-time NBA All-Star player has been all over the news. Currently, with the Los Angeles Clippers, PG13 is unsure about his future as he is in demand by many teams. While almost every player on the court is looking for a championship, George recently revealed that he has other goals in the sport.

It seems that Embiid wants to bring George into the team so that the 76ers have a better chance of winning the championship. With the Clippers’ player never having won a championship, it might seem like an obvious choice to take the opportunity, however, in a recent interview with Podcast P, George mentioned his true goals of what he wants to achieve in basketball, revealing that winning a championship is not his top priority.

Although recently Embiid hinted at wanting him with the 76ers, George has revealed that he has other plans for his future. While playing basketball is all that we can imagine him doing, PG13 doesn’t want to do it to win championships. The LA Clippers player came down for the episode of Podcast P with Paul George, and after discussing everything basketball under the sun, they outro the conversation by asking about the player’s plans for the future. With speculation swirling around his next move, George’s candid revelations shed light on a different set of priorities in his career.

The host decided to end on a high note as he said, “For the podcast to be appealing, fans are curious about your future and what you’re looking for in the next chapter of your career. You have a lot to think about and a lot to weigh out, I’m sure. But at this stage in your career, what are you personally hoping to accomplish or looking for in the near future?

The answer from George was simple, as he still believes in winning. But he further explained, “I mean, for sure, contributing to winning basketball. But, I mean, at this point, it’s not even necessarily about, like, you know, people chasing a championship. It’s not that. It’s playing the right style of basketball that I’m chasing.

Now, for many, ‘playing the right style of basketball‘ might just mean winning championships. Why shouldn’t it be? However, George wants to enjoy his time while competing, and while winning championships is the ultimate goal for many, the 34-year-old revealed it’s not for him. Ultimately, it was not revealed what he meant by the right style of basketball, but we do know one thing, George is still chasing it.

Now many might believe that Paul George would do better in the 3 time title-winning team. The Philadelphia 76ers seem interested in the six-time member of the All-NBA Team, so let’s revisit the time Joel Embiid hinted at wanting to bring George to the team.

Joel Embiid’s eyes tell more than his words

So here is what happened ahead of Game 4 between Boston and Dallas. Paul George appeared as an analyst on ESPN’s NBA Countdown during the Finals with Joel Embiid. Now one thing we must know is that Daryl Morey has been looking to recruit Paul George. The offer on the table is $212 million over four years. But on the other hand, the Clippers are offering nine million more than the 76ers’ base offer. This pivotal moment could shape George’s future in the league.

So when on the NBA Countdown, Embiid said, “Hopefully this off-season, we find a way to get better and you know add some pieces,” he gave a cheeky side-eye to PG who was sitting beside him. This has made the team’s intentions clear as to who they have their eyes on for the next season.

As of now, the 76ers are looking for a third superstar to join Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey. To fit into this equation, Paul George is seen as an ideal candidate to help the team compete for the championship. In the end, it’s up to Paul George to decide which team he wants to spend the next 4 years with.
