Let me give it straight to y’all! Paul George is in a pretty awful state both professionally and personally. Ever since he moved to the Philadelphia 76ers fold, the star forward has dealt with multiple injuries completely hampering his performance. In fact, he recorded his lowest ppg since the 2011-12 season. To top it off, the recent pinky finger injury further dropped his performance. Amid this grueling time, PG dropped an optimistic but alarming update on the trouble.
Not to forget that the 34-year-old doesn’t seem to let this come in his way, as he vacationed with his dear wife amid the public outrage over a controversial social media activity.
Before we address the star’s personal stuff, let’s drop the hammer on the Sixers fans. This update could ease their pain or further aggravate the injury. We all know the deep mess the Philadelphia side found itself in. Amid franchise player Joel Embiid‘s repeated injury breaks, Paul George sustained an exterior tendon injury on his left pinky finger after an awkward contact in January. He returned to the floor after missing a few games but has been far from his best. He has averaged 10.2 ppg in the last 5 games with a splinted-up left pinky.

While it looked like the 76ers had no chance of bouncing back, PG, featuring in his podcast said, “The pinky is better.” Moreover, he promisingly added, “I felt like I was starting to come back into my own in my feel and touch,” highlighting his “attacking and driving” playing style. Just when we felt a ray of hope, Young Trece shut it down immediately with a concerning update. When one panelist from the podcast asked if he could bend his finger, the reply wasn’t worth listening to.
“It’s still gonna be straight. I actually just went and looked at it today. I still got to keep it straight, like for another four to five weeks. Keeping this thing just splinted,” said PG, shattering the hopes. But he also added, “It’s starting to become…. Normal to me now.” Anyway, it’s up to the Sixers fans to trust the star. George may find it difficult to convince a Philadelphia sports fan about his performance, but the star seemed pretty much unfazed about the stuff happening around him.

Paul George stays unbothered amid public scrutiny over his private life
Did you wonder why Paul George wasn’t seen at the All-Star festivities? It was because he was with his wife Daniela Rajic, vacationing in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Well, we have no right to question what he does during his mid-season break. But, some fans seemed pretty upset with the PG’s social media activity during the vacation.

George shared an NSFW picture with his wife near the beach, causing a stir on the internet. Fans online didn’t seem impressed with the star’s decision to share those photographs from the party while the Sixers’ condition was in a mess. Nevertheless, it didn’t bother the couple, as they continued to post pictures. That’s something the couple has learned through the course of their relationship, standing together no matter what.

At the same time, the Philadelphia side would definitely need the star forward’s help to stay floating. Standing in the 11th seed, the team still has a chance to make it to the postseason. And if their Big 3 was still healthy, they could still hope for a ring.
Anyway, it only seems like a pipe dream, as Joel Embiid recently revealed that he needs to do one more surgery on his knee to get back to full fitness. So, we are still unsure. What do you think? Let us know in the comments below.
