The Los Angeles Clippers have earned a reputation as perennial contenders who have often come close to winning the NBA title but ultimately fell short. The Clippers were purchased by former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer for a whopping $2 billion in 2014. Ballmer’s involvement injected renewed hope and optimism into the fanbase about the team’s future. Ballmer has stuck to his word and invested heavily to improve the Clippers title chances, but a title has always eluded them.

The Los Angeles Clippers have started the season with inconsistency. The Clippers have lost two games out of 5 games played. However, their home form is imperious, winning all three of their match-ups. Their form will improve drastically once James Harden settles in with his new teammates. Harden is expected to make his Clippers debut against the New York Knicks later tonight.

However, Paul George has already given fans reasons to be excited, as Harden impressed during the Clippers; practice session. During a conversation on his podcast, PG revealed that he is pretty excited by Harden’s playmaking skills and lob threat. He said, “We watched James play in practice today and you just forget that he is a bucket. That’s crazy adding that to this team. I haven’t seen us throw that many lobs since I’ve been here. He made it look so easy”. Considering that Paul George gets to see Harden’s skills up close in daily practice and he’s clearly excited, could we be on the verge of witnessing a revival of the “Lob City” era?
