Patrick Beverley stands up for Russell Westbrook

Russell Westbrook had a turbulent season last year. At first, he was blamed for all the problems happening with the Los Angeles Lakers. And when things finally went according to plan, Westbrook was traded away from the team.
One analyst who has not been kind to Westbrook is Skip Bayless. Bayless seems to have it out for Westbrook, slandering him on live television, with millions watching at home.
Recently, Patrick Beverley sat down with GQ Sports and answered a few questions. One segment of the video was where Beverley answered a few tweets. And one of the tweets was the Westbrook slander at the hands of Skip Bayless.
The tweet read, “Skip Bayless on national television: ‘I would give Patrick Beverley a ring and not Russell Westbrook. I just don’t like him.’” Beverley went on to talk about how he had a huge discussion about this on his podcast once.
He then went on to say, “The blatant slander with extreme bias can cause somebody to lose a ton of money.”

Skip Bayless has been in this industry for a long time. And someone who has been watching his shows or podcasts can tell that Bayless has a certain bias and opinions about certain players and legends.
During the video, Beverley went on to talk about how the media does control the narrative and how it can end up affecting the players. The media’s narrative can end up either hurting or helping those very same players.

The opinions of these well-known NBA analysts can cause a spike or pay cut in the players’ salaries. It also has enough power to keep you in the league or push you out. So, it was nice to see Beverley stand up for Westbrook against Skip Bayless’ slander.
