Since the Dream Team of 1992 won the gold medal in the Olympics, 6 out of 7 USAB men’s teams have replicated the feat. But when it comes to aura and inspiration, none has matched it. This year can be the exception with 12 stars who define the modern era of basketball pulling together for a common goal; the 5th gold medal in a row. One of those stars, Stephen Curry has already touched down in Las Vegas and he can’t get more hyped to put in the work.

With a team stacked with the likes of LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Joel Embiid, Stephen Curry is already standing out. All the players are required to arrive on Friday before the first practice session on Saturday and Curry was the first player to join the camp in Vegas.

The video posted by the NBA’s official X handle shows Curry walking down the team hotel’s lobby. When asked about what he’s looking forward to, Curry’s answer was a reflection of his jovially optimistic mood. “Everything man, we got 39 days or so to get locked in and go get this gold medal. 12 amazing guys coming together for one goal so I’m hyped to go. It’s been 10 years since I was on Team USA back in 2014, so I’m hyped to be back,” the 36-year-old said.

The video is quickly approaching the 400k views mark as the fans seem thrilled to see the swingman in all his glory.

Fans react to Stephen Curry’s aura

The 10-time All-Star’s exuberant attitude did not evade the gazes of his fans. One fan commented, “Now that’s aura.” Curry is known for his unique on-court presence and often comes clutch for his team, which is why the fans see him as an aura-refracting player.

“Can’t wait for the Olympics man,” another fan commented. With the USAB tipping off their Olympics campaign on July 28 against Serbia in Lille, the star-studded roster is deemed as the second coming of the dream team and it’s no surprise that the fans are hyped to witness greatness in action.

One user took it up to another notch by writing, “The man the myth the legend.” Given Stephen Curry’s achievements in the past 15 years. It is no surprise why many consider him a legend of the game. Curry’s attendance in the national team’s training camp has formally announced the arrival of the NBA stars. A fan highlighted that and fittingly commented, “The court just got hotter! Welcome, Steph Curry! Let the magic begin at #USABMNT Training Camp.”

This is only the tip of the iceberg as LeBron James is yet to join the camp. With his stamp of approval, Nike will provide state-of-the-art tech for the Olympic-bound USA basketball players. KD is another name who is training privately before joining the camp. While the fans are excited to see the trio link up on the court for the first time, it remains to be seen how the 12 goliaths of the game fit into Steve Kerr‘s system.
