Banchero directed his words toward the supporters of the Lakers as they left the Amway Center early. It proved the dominance of the hosts as he described it as the “Third time a charm,” after two previous defeats. Paolo had a major role to play as he registered a double-double on a 25-7-10 night against his “favorite player growing up”.
Thus, his actions backed his actions on the court as he even got the best of LeBron in one-on-one. During the third quarter, the power forward successfully attacked the basket from the wing after he lost James with a crossover. Interestingly, he also earned a foul in the process, adding to the frustration of the 4-time champion.
It made things worse for the away side as they succumbed to the pressure as the game went on. This once again raised the question regarding the organization.

With a 3-3 record in six matches, they are currently in the 11th position on the table. The competitiveness of the Western Conference seems to have gone up a notch. This game was an example of that. Despite entering the match as slight favorites, the Lakers trailed by 16 points in the half-time.
The LA side failed to make a comeback in the third quarter too, as Magic extended the lead by five more points. Thus, the fate of the game was sealed with 12 minutes still left on the clock. This certainly frustrated their supporters, many of whom traveled nearly 2,500 miles to watch their play.
