The Los Angeles Clippers fall to the Dallas Mavericks yet again at home. However, this time, it was a whopping 30-point difference. At the tip-off, all eyes were immediately stuck on Paul George as Kawhi Leonard was sidelined due to his ongoing knee issues. George is the second two-way maestro on the roster and can utilize additional touches for a respectable output. However, his performance never came close to any of that.

While George led the Clippers’ offense, as expected, he simply scored 15 points and also garnered his first double of the series with 11 rebounds. However, the LA squad trailed by 1 in the first quarter and slowly saw the game slip away, rendering George’s statistical success in vain. Moreover, the forward shot a dismal 4-13 from the field (30%), separating himself from the “bully sh**he claimed to bring during the playoffs before the season.

Nevertheless, Paul George posted 22.6 points and 5.2 rebounds through 74 games this season. It is slightly lower than his 19.8 points and 6 rebounds in the post-season, but manages to replicate his season-long efficiency from the field and the three-point line. However, since PG has yet to step up his game in light of the playoffs’ intensity, the fans have found a new way to add salt to his recent burns.

Fans mock Paul George off his bubble-playoffs stint

Now, with Paul George’s another depleting game and the Clippers treading elimination waters, the fans are bringing back the Pandemic P narrative that was sparked by PG’s decreased production during the bubble. A fan chimed in with a “Pandemic P” remark alongside a goat emoji, all with Paul’s recent game stats doing the talking.

Paul’s mockery comes after he posted 20.2 points and 6.1 rebounds in 13 games during the bubble playoffs, right after posting 28.6 points and 8.6 rebounds in the previous post-season with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

With that, another NBA follower, and definitely not a Clippers fan, scoffingly celebrated PG’s underperformance.

As the fans united to point out the glaring discrepancy in George’s scoring during the playoffs, one of them chimed “Pandemic P is alive and well baby !”

Another enthusiast chipper with the trending nickname, highlighting Paul’s shooting struggles from the night.

George, apart from the diminishing moniker, has also garnered a reputation as ‘Playoffs P,’ which highlights some of his best stretches during the post-season. Moreover, Paul has listed multiple 22-point games and a 30+ point performance during the ongoing series. However, these remarks spark from PG’s promise to switch things up in the playoffs, and his continued inability to truly put the LA team on his back. The Clippers will now head over to Dallas with a 2-3 record.
