Otto Porter Jr. ended his 11-season-long NBA career earlier tonight. Despite the tough stretch in the beginning, he rewarded himself with a championship in the 2021-22 season. Coming off the bench, the veteran forward pitched in crucial points during the Golden State Warriors‘ championship run. Regardless of the success, the 30-year-old’s career didn’t seem to end on a high note, as the latest reports exposed several NBA millionaires along with Porter Jr. pointing out a key fact.
Hoopshype.com, a basketball-centered webpage dropped an embarrassing list. The list comprised the details of the top 50 highest-paid NBA players who never made an All-Star appearance. Ex-Warriors star took up the 13th spot on the list with a total career earning of $134,220,040. The list was topped by the Philadelphia 76ers’ Tobias Harris, who has a total earning of $211,814,722.
Otto Porter Jr. came into the league as the 3rd pick of the 2013 NBA Draft. After spending six seasons with the Washington Wizards, he moved around the Chicago Bulls and Orlando Magic roster for a bit until he signed a one-year contract with the Dubs.

It turned out to be a great deal, as he won his maiden championship ring. Following that season, he signed a two-year deal with the Toronto Raptors. Before the maturity of the deal, he was traded to Utah Jazz last month.
Unfortunately, injuries plagued the star, and he played only 23 games in the last two seasons. The Jazz later waived the player on Monday without having him play a single game. At the third spot, Hornets’ Nicolas Batum ($187,838,139) is followed by CJ McCollum and Eric Gordon in the fourth and fifth spots. Even though Porter Jr. didn’t make an All-Star appearance, he made it count with his career alone. Speaking about his career, he said, “For the past 11 years, I had the chance to live my lifelong dream of playing in the NBA,” as per Bleacher Report.
