Ja Morant has garnered numerous on-court awards, such as Rookie of the Year (ROY) and Most Improved Player (MIP). However, his behavior and actions outside the basketball court have raised concerns. Ja has been involved in various off court incidents which do not portray him in a good light. Ja flashed a firearm twice on Instagram Live, for which the NBA has suspended him for 25 games, without pay. The suspension would cost Morant approximately $7.6 million in lost earnings.

Morant is currently dealing with assault charges stemming from an incident where a 17-year-old boy accused him of assault during a pickup basketball game. The police arrested Davonte Pack for his involvement in the act.

Davonte Pack has been released from jail after being arrested on assault charges. Pack is a good friend of NBA superstar, Ja Morant. Pack was involved in an incident at Ja’s house where he and Pack assaulted Joshua Holloway, who was only 17 at that time, during a pickup game. Holloway sued Morant and Pack in a civil court over alleged assault charges.

After being released from prison, Ja Morant posted a story on his Instagram handle about Pack. The story was accompanied by the caption, “Twin” and an infinity sign. Davonte Pack’s hearing was due on 5th October but now has been shifted to 21st November. Pack’s re-entry into Morant’s life could be a source of concern, as various people view him as a negative influence on Morant’s life. The Memphis Grizzlies even banned Pack from the FedEx Forum after he verbally abused Indiana Pacers’ players.
